That depends on your PoV.

I like to think key jobs in the company are performed by accountable staff members.
Worst Case - hiring a contractor who might disappear short term comes a poor second to what we had before, in an important position in the company.
If Antonio Argenio General Manager - International Markets, posts concerning the position,
I'm inclined to believe he thinks it's important.
If you don't think it's important - I suggest you read the job spec for the first time.

We could have an ignorant sales force barking up the wrong tree most of the time here.

I didn't invest in a company that does this, and I don't want it to become one that does.

So does 'Full-time · Associate'
Mean that the role is full time, but the post holder is a contractor, ie not a member of Novacyt staff.
That would fit with Gizmo's 'Still within redundancy notice process'?

If this role is important, - which I take from a post about it from Argenio, - then making it a contract role is not in the best interests of the company. Contractors are off the minute a better paid contract arrives, and my contracts were only ever 6 months at a time. (Aerospace companies).

It's not full-time, the previous job ad looks like full time.

Perhaps that's why there is a vacancy.

When James Wakefield selected (headhunted?) DA.
Was one of his attributes that James liked most, was that he had no previous CEO experience.
So James was free to start the relationship with a green field site CEO.

DA is a marketing man, now a CEO for the first time.
He stays silent about new products
Other than LinkedIn and Twitter, he doesn't allow Marketers inside Novacyt to advertise.
A marketing man that doesn't advertise.
The only person in the company who can enforce his silence is James Wakefield.
So that's where I'm thinking that Novacyt not acting like any other company about new products stems from.
Novacyt is quiet about new products because James Wakefield wants it that way.
I hope others feel encouraged to discuss this dichotomy, because PI's badly need to get to the bottom of this.

I feel the fact that there are no II's bar Biosynex above 3% holding, and that there are but 70.63 million shares in issue, makes this share more unstable than many.

Despite what McCarthy previously previously stated at Investor Meet, Investor Question 4, -

"institutional investors, - yes it’s desirable, it’s something I think the strategy will attract, So part of the strategy - giving all future investors more certainty about where we are going to invest our money how big a business we think we can grow, - our right to succeed in the chosen areas we compete, - that’s part of building the strategy and the story and I think and hope it will attract institutional investors and reward existing shareholders, that’s clearly a priority." This was pure eyewash. The company don't want any truck with II's.

It was common practice in USA in the past, not sure about now.
A new Engineering director of British Airways, head hunted from General Electric did just this in the 1990', and nobody was surprised.
He visited every dim corner of his new domain on his 100 day sojourn, then initiated a 'Business Process Re-engineering' regime lasting 8 months, turning BA Engineering upside down. Nobody had the same job afterwards, and plenty of oldies were introduced to early retirement. How to completely de-skill a company in 8 months.

Not suggesting DA will go this far, but I bet there has been a sea change in Sales and Marketing areas.

Liz Truss better not take a 100 day 'sabatical' immediately after being appointed, thus taking a leaf out of DA's manual.

I am hoping a set of individuals have been doing these functions since DA arrived.
I hope this means a few more redundancies for some of these individuals. No point in squandering the Cash at Bank if this guy is going to achieve so much.
I expect he will be wanting to recruit his own team anyway.
