To take a company private do they need 51% or is it more,currently Kim and Novachuk only have 41%

They must get really pised off with the market and you can understand why they do it.I don't know whether Kim has the money or the contacts to get it

On the contrary I've got to many now,it's just that if Kaz isn't strong when the mining index is then any retreat will see Kaz in the red.
Under normal circumstances you can say that if the mining index is up 300 then Kaz should be up about 15.At present the index is 340 ish and Kaz is 5p

Ftse mining index retreating I can see Kaz being in the red shortly

I think that they were more concerned with the trade war fears and the knock on effect with the chinese economy than anything else.Hopefully with a meeting between the Chinese and Usa towards the end of the week if progress is made then copper should rise
The rise in copper price normally has a knock on effect to the Kaz share price but after the last 2 weeks who knows what will happen next

I have held these shares since the dark days of Enrc,they often use to go up and down by 10% even then I never really understood why
It has proved in the interim results that it can manage current debt and this is not going to alter.The current debt will be reduced each year and the new Russian debt will not start until 2021 at the earliest that's 2 1/2 yrs away.
The brokers go on about the burden of debt on the company as if it was to happen tomorrow.l know that they look in advance but who knows whats going to happen before 2021.The price of copper might be 8,000 a ton

Without doubt the Russian mine has some of the best assets in the world.The problem is the location is only a few hundred miles from the Baring sea which is adjacent to Alaska.The climate is very cold although Kazahstan can be as well.and the company believe that they have the expertise to pull it off

How about a compromise,the company go ahead with the Russian mine but only build 1 concentrator instead of 2 that way the deal is still in tact,the cost and debt is halved and I am sure this would be then erasure most people
This was discussed in the conference call on the 2nd Aug as an option,the other one being was to get a partner in to help with the costs

Let's hope that someone like Rio Tinto who could aford this amount of debt swallows them up.If Kaz could deliver then Rio would be getting a bargain for the next 25yrs
