Its seems more like they are controlling the shareprice by selling / buying their large holding and actively shorting an extra 0.6% which they seem to want to notify the market about.

They were very active like this with Centamin which eventually got taken over. Imagine the CEY stock price now if it hadn't been bought out !

Theres a bit of a battle going on, seems to be between Blackrocks right hand and left hand. Being short whilst holding 10% is a little odd.

I agree but as as at least a couple of us have asked him about a director buy, he seems to disagree. In his defence ( if there is one ! ) he does have 51million shares ( more than enough skin in the game ) plus the City doesn't seem to respect him one bit so the impact of a 51 million share holder buying a few more million might have a must more muted effect than usual.

Do we even know what his net worth is, are the substantial amount of WPP shares he had still in dispute or was he able to cash them in at much higher prices than today ?

I was referring more to the FCA report from shorttracker of 0.6% net short when they hold 7.84% shares plus 2.12% through financial instruments.

Re the holdings report I read that as in addition to 7.84% holding they are borrowing 18.9 million shares (1.75% ) plus the ADR of 0.28% and Cash CFD of 0.09% totalling the 2.12% through financial instruments they control.

What are your thoughts on this, BlackRock reporting a net short position ( increasing ) whilst also holding shares ( selling recently).. meaning they are not net short, but net long by over 9%

All I mean't was Shanghai should be comex price plus 17% import give or take otherwise there is an arbitrage opportunity.
