RE: you can be sure If I took the cash out05 May 2020 14:24
The 11% stock out on loan is still quite high which is why I think this hasn't re-rated yet. It could also do with the news that everyone is back to work again. Give it two more weeks and my prediction is this will not still be stuck at 84p
RE: you can be sure If I took the cash out05 May 2020 12:15
The shorts are still holding this. Total stock on loan up to 11.01% end of April from 10.69% end of March 20 and only 8.2% end Feb 20 but still well down from July 19's 18.8% stock on loan figure. From short tracker it looks like the main and conviction short players are leaving and taking profits which gives this the potential to be many multiples higher than todays price. Kuvari's short Kier thesis was presented when the share price was £10
RE: off topic..sorry....OIL....for Theosus05 May 2020 10:34
I don't disagree at all with your sentiment but the thing is nothing comes close to the energy density of Oil. It will be here for some time to come although emphasis will of course be put on renewables, clean energy. There will never be electric passenger planes ( although I do know that RR have an experimental electric jet division, but that could just be for an additional engine for quiet night time landings / emissions targets etc and no doubt some government grants ala Elon Musk.
Its quite clear it would now suit Premier and Navitas to kick the can down the road as long as possible, all the while saddling Rockhopper with more debt at 12% pa compound. With PMO and Navitas being the creditors they would then have more control over Rockhopper potentially leading to full control.
We know this one can really move when it wants too. I wonder why all the shorts are now closing ? Any thoughts on the Standard Life/ Woodford situation right now ? I'm thinking that a lot of the funds will have to sell down some stakes due to an increase in redemptions ?
I was told by a pharma chap that the reason the same drugs cost many times more for the NHS is because they are from an approved manufacturer with all the clinical doseage testing and raw material traceablilty, whch obviously all costs a lot. I'm not saying I agree with that answer but I believe it is true.
