The conviction shorters don't think ' an Interserve or administration ' is too likely or they wouldn't have spent £millions closing out their shorts !

Looks like we still have that seller, could still be our largest shareholder. Those morons should hold off selling for a bit let the shareprice rise then resume selling at a higher price. I wonder if Harbour might want to take a small under the radar stake here ?

I am not so sure ASL have stopped selling, granted it is not a given that they want to off load all of the 9+% they have left. This is still part of the Woodford legacy in my view.

The shareprice weakness here has been Standard Life selling. Exacerbated by shorters front running the selling. We could see a very violent snap back when they stop / close.

I think they will probably drag it out. Having Navitas onboard derisks it for them. If we get a big payout from OM they will claw some of that back in interest payments from the free carry loans.

Paying a premium on the equity is tiny compared to paying a potential discount on the bonds. We know from the auction that even 72pc was too high !

Agree with your sentiment that oil price needs to be a bit higher ( we can't have all producers making a loss ) But the USA will not be starting any wars just to get the oil price up their economy can't and won't stand very high oil prices.
Look to Iran, Russia or Saudi.

Building Solar, wind, EVS and associated infrastructure and mining requires a huge amout of Oil up front.. to save it later so to speak. Over 3-5 years energy payback on a wind turbine for example.

They havent sold their bonds and they don't want the BP assets to be bought. Do I need to join the dots ?

I think ARCM are probably in closer to 50 pc of par on the bonds. If they auctioned them for that there would no doubt be buyers. This could have been a strategy to make PMOs position look weaker.
