I don’t think a serious offer will materialise, but if it did, there will be a deal with another major holder. Most share holders I suspect will take a relatively low valuation, especially new entrants. The major share holder will get their profit elsewhere - is my opinion, but my guess is you’ll misread that too. This letters and reading thing is a tough gig for some

Fleccy you do make me cringe sometimes - PE will only buy a company at a low price, not market value, that’s their business model (see pretty woman for more info). The thought of our current government scrutinising anything & doing the right thing is worse than laughable. A promise to fund fibre would be enough

Hi Nige, I have no idea, but I think it will indicate validity. My guess I’d share price will briefly fall from the opening price as shorters run for their lives (I think there will be plants). If it does, I might pop some more money in to see if I can pay for a holiday next year (keep it short term). The remainder of my share (which is most of my money) I’ll be leaving where they are & will stop trying to increase their numbers by selling on the peaks and buying back on the lows. Luckily I didn’t this time so
I’m all in. Exciting times

I think you are all getting a bit over excited. I do think though, this might be the board trying to either shake down perspective buyers, or the government into action. It’s definitely what BT needs, but might back fire if neither step forward.

If you were a conspiracy theory nut, the conspiracy for ftse is that Brexit etc etc etc had very little to do with leaving the EU and more about providing an opportunity for very rich loons to profit (a la George S) by investing in failure. Maybe, the poor performance of the ftse is just the impending downward pressure? / investment opportunity provided by a failing economy ?

The difference is revenue. Tesla is predicted to carry on increasing its income. Would be my shot in the dark.

Absolute utter nonsense. The list of utter nonsense and holes in this argument are so many it’s impossible to know where to start. The most important and obvious is EU army, nope. Currency based dept (U.K. nope). There is no mechanism to force the U.K. into any of this nonsense. New member states, are never going to agree to closer union..... U.K. has its own laws, judicial system, transport, education, defence...... etc etc etc etc as does every member state. EU laws are all & I mean All cooperative not penal. Virtually all EU laws are nothing more than invites to set common standards, but try to exceed them..... afraid to say you’ve bed. Utterly fooled.
