Hi pacemaker, nearly. But for me that’s not the point. I view the number of shares I own as “share” capital. Logic is long term in backing an increase in price, which is my overall strategy. The more share I own the larger that amount will be, or the earlier I can cash in to reach a target, also the lower the price I’ve paid the better the profit. Bailing out before dividends does not increase my “share” capital. In the short term ups and downs around £2 doesn’t worry me too much I’ll just use the income to buy low and increase the number of. Of course I realise this might be the least effective option, but I neither have the time or expertise to day trade etc. Also part of my holding has deeper meaning to me.
