Totally agree. Although Wood has transitioned away from oil and gas in the last five years they are still seen as being reliant on that. Coupled with everything else this is a bad bad time for them.
Like you I am holding on with hope for the future.

Yeah things bounced about a bit today - oil included. BTW this site seems to be having its own issues keeping up with everything and its still not showing the correct closing price although I’d be happy if this one was right!

How you feeling about things now? Its certainly mose bleed this stuff! Down again today and doesnt seem like huge volumes being traded although I see the amount of shorts are reducing.

Aspers, makes me a little less despondent when someone has losses approaching the same level as me. Nowhere I consider safe fe to retreat at the moment so I’m just hunkering down.

Wood has reduced its oil services porfolio of contracts from around 90% 5 years ago to around 30% now. Before this recent turmoil the stock was still not favoured even in a rising oil price environment. The dividend is good but by no means secure and I'm not seeing huge buys even at this low level and only a minor change in teh short positions

Cant see this going anywhere. Im in this one heavy over the years and the only thing keeping me in is the dividend. Expect a few shorters getting out at this level but thats not going to help this one.

Well that was a bad day. Expected a drop today given coronavirus news and the news out of OPEC but must admit the size of this drop took me by surprise.
Shorts have reduced (to 8.5% from 9,2) according to Shorttracker.
Next Tuesday's results will be watched and pick through closely. Interesting to see what they do with the dividend.

Hard to see this moving much before the 2019 year end figures next week. The sale of the nuclear business along with the industrial services earlier this year will go some way to reducing the considerable debt which i think has been a major market worry over the last 18 months or so. Thats all for 2020 however and the market has now moved on to price in risks associated with the coronavirus

Yeah shooters are holding in there. Lots of selling today as well. I seem to remember they were due to get a decision on the nuclear sale from the government by the 4th March so a little surprised nothing on that yet but maybe just waiting for the annual results announcement next week.

I think Wood is less dependent on oil projects now than it was a few years ago. Great things were expected following the AFW acquisition but an acquisition of that size takes a long time to bed in and the timing could have been better. Going to be interesting to see the detail behind their 2019 figures.

Agreed. Can't get a sense on this one at all. I suspect its going to this way until they announce 2019 annual results in mid March and the sale of the nuclear business goes through.

Sale of non core industrial services business for USD118m. Another piece of the debt buy down and consolidation of the business following the AFW acquisition.

They are not buys as such. They are awards to the directors against targets

Yeah. Considerable fall today but on teh back of some strong buyiong. its now moved up into teh top 5 most shorted shares again!!
