Despite my morbid curiosity in the basket case of EUA I have a very boring approach to my actual investments… mostly trackers with a few good income stocks, LGEN MNG and 20% in global tech.

Not many posts here but some really good contributors. Better than AIM mining stocks lol.

Although the build risk and cost sits with the Contractor, executing a complex EPC and getting it to appointment stage requires significant up front capital and expertise (tech advice, lawyers n accountants)… none of which EUA have currently.

2-3 year… you need to add a few years to your programme. Cash needed throughout to keep the lights on and keep the company running. Yes there is a sub-con kick back but this is for some upfront mobilisation work and not to line the BoD pockets.

If the ‘assets’ are there why would the company not just bite the bullet and mine them…all those lost years of profits and increased capital value. why waste 9years with this charade. No serious business or CEO would allow a potentially multi billion pound asset to wither to this.

This may be true but there may also be two explanations for this , one is that he’s been offered 40p and this massively undervalues the company and is not worth presenting to SH’s holding out for a better offer from a position of strength . The other reason is that there has been no offer, formal or informal whatsoever to speak of after 6yrs.

IMO you’d be foolish to not consider the 2nd explanation… no offer.

I’d assess the competency and consistency of the last 6 yrs of company comms to inform your view..,,

10 solid divvy payers giving you say 5-9%

Maybe even reinvest 1-2% each year taking the rest as income.

Throw some bonds in and maybe a bit in cash ISA (safety) and I can’t see how you couldn’t at least match or beat the annuity rate…

Means you do not lose the capital.

I have a bit in exciting technology growth stocks but I view them entirely differently.
