Those are good points Gazza11 Do we have any demographic information on typical lenders apart from being Daily Mail / Mirror readers (as mentioned in court today).

debt levels are surprising stubborn - in Q3 2020 is was 128% of disposable income. Insolvency is also up - the Q4 2020 level is 9.4% higher than the level in Q3 2019.

So it could be that you are right - the demand may be there but the criteria may be too tight to loan to these. I don't know, but I am relatively bullish on market opportunities.

Just worth remembering where we were last year with all the JB nonsense. Went up to 35p based on nothing but noise.

I agree we still have a long way from the days of 70p+ BUT I don't think the "compo" crowd are now a huge threat. The biggest issue AMGO has currently is the inability to lend. That doesn't need a court case - it just needs the FCA to give the go ahead.

The market has thinned and we don't have huge competition - perhaps NSF? What we will have is a huge pent up demand as people realise the car sat on the drive has shot it and the family want to go on holiday etc. When restrictions are lifted I am thinking we will see many celebrations and people wanting to splash out on things they can ill afford.

This is brewing to be the perfect storm for AMGO to capitalise on.

I get that people fall on hard times and some are in dreadful positions. We should have better debt advice in the UK but we also need middle tier lenders as the economy is run on the ability to service debt. AMGO were too reckless previously but people A) need to accept that sometimes they can't have new shiny stuff B) if they get into debt to buy it then it will need paying back.

That isn't Amigos job imo.

We are always talking about the UK become an innovation hub and trying to drive the value that US investors have in domestic start ups. Here we have a fantastic product with the right route to market and yet it keeps sliding.

I am sure this will bounce back because the hydrogen market is going to be huge for both domestic and commercial applications.

Ceres were knocking on 1600p not that long ago and yet look now. To say this is frustrating is an understatement when the rest of my PF is doing well.
