RE: DAM now selling food intolerance testing kit31 Oct 2022 16:44
I do wonder if anyone on here does any research. They can't seem to debate issues raised. Very odd considering, based on the number of green stripes, they are prolific posters.
The #4m, if confirmed will "rerate" ODX. Of that I have no doubt. However I have major questions over the sales channel and numbers when compared to the competition. I have been taking a close interest in media around food intolerance and gut health. It seems to be the trend de jour which in theory is good news for ODX (if they had a decent marketing team). Media attention is increasing.
Food Detective is being sold from around £60 and Food Print around £225. So with 60% margins that is good at volume.
BUT I remain to be convinced that "practitioners" can sell these tests in the volume needed. Some look good (CNS), some are shocking (won't link as don't like naming and shaming).
As this stuff is on the medical fringes the mix is bound to be mixed. We don't have NHS contracts for example.
Meanwhile todays trades speak volumes. I wonder about those that shout the loudest (horse betting, ex slum landlord) have topped up? If they are so confident why not?
