Ps - I don't dislike traders - I respect the risk/gamble they take - indeed I have a £5k short term tbuy looking for a rise above 33p myself (see my weekly fantasy portfolio)

It's interesting to observe how the market is influenced by both higher & lower gaps Darth - while most gaps seem to get filled the one at 23p may have to wait 8-16 years till the next catastrophe

I started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various posters perception that Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share', on the 8th Oct 2016 I invited WL/Newchurch to choose an alternative ftse 100 company so I could run a comparison

On 8th Oct 2016 - 1000 quid bought 206 BP. shares & 1905 Lloy shares

This weeks observation - Market bides time as lockdown starts to be lifted

A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

I think the boards 'progressive & sustainable' approach regarding divi has been spot on

Last year - as the PPi last minuet claim surged Lloy was able halt the buyback program leaving the divi unaffected (in theory)

Fair chance history/hindsight will show that the PRA's heavy-handed divi ban was not actually needed at the LBG and that Lloy could have handled the Covid crisis and still maintained it's prudent divi's payments - but, 'at the time' - I understand the PRA had to act for the banking sector as a whole

As pointed out at the AGM, shareholders funds are still there and considered owed - Forever the optimist - if there is a sharp recovery in the economy, maybe the PRA will review the ban before year end? - if not - sure wouldn't want to be out in December

Hope they also extend the card payment holiday

Gold near all time high - Lloy near all time low = no brainer

This should go 50p plus and will not below 49p for a long time.
