This weeks observation - Markets await signs of recovery as lockdown is lifter, pubs, bars and restaurants ect re-open this day next week

A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

Boldboy - so, not the board dreaming up some reason to withhold dividends - that would be potential adverse circumstances and action from the FCA beyond control of the BOD

Boldboy - you serious think Lloyds board wants to find reasons to deny shareholders dividends? why on earth would they do that? what possible things could they invent? crazy talk!

Interesting -
Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Chair Charles Randell said some of the debt incurred will turn out to be unaffordable and will need to be tackled fast to avoid dragging on recovery.

"Lenders will need to scale their arrears-handling functions quickly, and invest in training and controls," Randell told an online meeting with the chairs of Britain's banks.

There is also a need to "redesign the system" so that "polluting firms" that break the rules pay for the consequences, rather than being mutualised across the industry, he said.
