Appreciate there are ‘allegedly’ some advantages of short selling (maintain market stability etc) but it should at least be better regulated, somehow. Personally I’d ban it….

I have just over 42k invested in this, my whole portfolio is down today…. many others on here have a lot more than me. My position is the same and just gonna ride it out…. No pun intended. Great company….

We coped with last March, July, September, November, July and again this September at similar or lower levels. Just don’t look and log on again next year… ;-)

I’m heavily invested here. The YTD SP is quite reasonable. As mentioned by others on here countless times It’s simply drifting with the stock market sentiment / consumer confidence. NEX is not much different, or actually better, when compared with other companies within the same sector…

Go to yahoo finance and compare a few YTD trends with say stagecoach, IAG etc if you wish…. However,
NEX is the same good company as it was before, no news to say otherwise, the bus I was on last week was packed and the recent cost cutting exercise will make it much stronger and competitive when it crosses the bridge to more sunnier times…

One of the better travel stocks in my opinion. I can’t see any evidence to support people’s negativity.

Good financial position
No shareholder dilution
Great price and not overvalued
Good market cap and strong past business performance / future potential growth
Handled pandemic well - much better than other travel sectors.

All stocks are a gamble, but I’ll put a few more k into this…I’ve lost more at a Vegas table ??.

Leem - do you do any research before investing? This was very much to be expected in April, albeit a few tweaks. No plans are perfect but the direction remains the same.

I’m topping up as soon as it drops into the 30’s. This remains a bargain.

Life decisions… do I take my losses now and invest elsewhere or hold fire for a couple of years lol. Although firmly believe both scenarios will probably work out…. eventually. AVON is still a good company.

Not on about making any rip off copies or patients… It was a casual comment on the difficulties of entering a market (like with any product) through sourcing the best distribution channel. An established competing player that has inside links to the government pharmacy industry will obviously wish to maintain their market share - some will do whatever they can. I’m not referring to the whole world, I was picking up on parts of Asia. Look it really doesn’t matter, it was just a personal observation. A response to a comment- not negative against STX.

How is that shade? I simply highlighted caution with the difficulties of product distribution in foreign markets from personal experience. Can you only make comments after reaching a specific number of posts?

I agree, also believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. However, after spending the last 20 years working in foreign lands you may have the best product in the world but local corruption is rife, particularly in some of the regions you mention. Sadly its still easy for a competing company / distributor with the worst / not so good product to gain / maintain a majority market share if they ‘know’ or are friendly with the right contacts….

People always have jitters or offload risk before an announcement… time to permanently break through the 50 barrier. ..

I threw the kitchen sink at this when it reached 41 to reduce my high average… big gamble / investment but i don’t see many better companies to be fair.. feel it’ll probably pull back to 4-5 % by eod

Frustrating when cash is tied up in other risks…. Reminds me of having to choose which slot or poker table to play on when I was on hol in Vegas - apart from always leaving broke ??
