It's small change in the scheme of things, think we need to start thinking a bit bigger here!

Yes wages have been paid in the past but, that is past history I am not looking back but looking where VELA is now!

Yes i think the AGM will be rubber stamping affair with no real news which may actually be a good thing!

Just looking at Directors wages I think from memory they are on £62k a year so for the three directors say £15.5k per month. Now don't get me wrong I am all for running a tight ship and if we loose 1 or more of the directors I don't think we would notice the difference, but on Friday afternoon our investment in CDT increased by £ 1,308,299 so sort of makes 15K seem pretty easy to find one would have thought.

I would agree that short term this is now all about the CDT price which is in no way reflected in VELA's current SP

Back in Dec 2021 the board sort to approve :

"a consolidation of every 50 ordinary shares of 0.01p per share into one new ordinary share of 0.5p per share. There are currently 16,252,335,184 ordinary shares of 0.01p ("Existing Ordinary Shares") in issue. The Directors consider that it is in the best interests of the Company's development to have a more manageable number of issued ordinary shares. In order to ensure the issued share capital is divisible by 50, 16 ordinary shares will be issued at par prior to the consolidation record date of 6:00 p.m. on 24 January 2022 ("Record Date"). The consolidation will result in the creation of 325,046,704 new ordinary shares of 0.5p each ("New Ordinary Shares"). As all the Existing Ordinary Shares are proposed to be consolidated"

They are now in a position wherby they do not need to consolidate shares but could buy back and retire shares instead as the value of our CDT investment is now worth more than our entire market cap!

I would be haopy if the share buy back and retire programme increased the value of my investment x 50

I am not expecting much news from the AGM but who knows?

I am considering attending the AGM but get the feeling looking at the small office where it is to be held on google street view they are mot expecting any attendees? It's a shame it wasn't last week as I stayed over in Bradford on business. Anyone else going?

Just a reminder we now have 1,015,760 shares in CDT worth $ 5,231,164 or around £4,184.931

It seems worth pointing out as not many seemed to have noticed?

On Friday alone the increase of $ 1.61 a share in CDT was worth $ 1,635,374 to VELA or £ 1,308,299

Oh well I'll keep buying until the penny drops, at least Chris Cooke seems to have noticed and wouldn't surprise if we see another RNS soon to say he's increased his holding to 10%

I agree I think psychologically it's good for VELA if the CDT price is $5 or more

I am hoping if and when VELA get some serious amounts of cash in the bank the board may consider a share buy back and then "retire" those shares. This will reduce the number of shares in issue and boost shareholder value rather than gambling on other investments in what is still a very uncertain AIM market.

CDT hit $6 briefly on a spike if it can break and close above that then, it will be an interesting open for VELA on Monday

Anyway after a few active sellers in the US of A looks like CDT is heading back over $5 again

True it just seems the market is full of penny flippers these days that kill any momentum that shares have. Think I'm just becoming a miserable old git since I turned 50....

I think when this moves the MM will start to struggle to get shares as more and more are moving into the hans of investors who are looking for at least double the current SP before selling any.

I was looking at the trades and noticed someone bought 22,709,136 shares and then sold them again for a grand profit of about £100, I suppose it may just buy the family a take-away tonight but not exactly life changing is it....
