@ the Gambler agree the BOD likes to treat investers like mushrooms "kept in the dark and fed on sh*t" but I don't think most here are invested because of the BOD but rather the value of investments which VELA has compared to the current market value. Been here a couple of years now and seems like it will be the traders buying in now who will make a healthy return but C'est La Vie

The market would be much happier if it was confirmed that we have excersised the PUT option amd clarification was given how many shares had been secured in a similar way in which CIZ announced. Certainty is what the market likes and the dithering here has not helped. I still don't see how the BOD can mess this up though and once we finally get a RNS clarificatuion then we should be double where we are now. I also think the CDT price could easily get back to US$10 plus which would really help push VELA higher still.

@ the Gambler just interested what you estimate VELA's NAV to be at the moment for all investments + say 900k shares in CDT at US$5 ? I have it considerably North of where we are at the moment!!

I understand the CDT price is not relevant until it is confirmed that VELA have excersised the PUT option but just in case nice to see the +30% rise so far today. A long way back to US$10 but who knows???

We are overdue news soon on VELA's PUT option which must come soon!

Even with CDT share price at US$1.39 that should add around £1M to the bottom line...

Despite some negativity on the board here at the moment value should out soon.....

To be honest CDT is just a bonus. VELA is already undervalued based on NAV without even taking into account the additional value added when the CDT PUT option is exercised. Took my own advice so currently sending this from Menorca whilst having a time out sampling a Turia Cerveza a new one on me but a decent drop, hang on best not mention a drop 🤣 Apologies got my holiday head on🤦‍♂️

CDT share price is been dropped on miniscule volume lots of 1 trades, algorithms still at work taking the price down, short term good for VELA ensuring we gain as many CDT shares as possible. RNS must come soon to confirm VELA have activated the PUT option the last RNS stated " Further to the announcement made by the Company on 21 September 2023, the board intends to exercise the option in due course, at the appropriate time" surely the appropriate time must have already come.

Shares on NASDAQ seem even more volatile than AIM! as I mentioned before I am also in TLSA and this has been as low as $0.60 and as high as $14.00 over the last few years.

We would appear to be seeing the last stages of the bear market play out so I think VELA's investments should be in a completely different position in 6-12 months time including CDT. I know that sounds like a lifetime for many AIM investors but for those with just a little patience this is still a great opportunity.

Volume on the Nasdaq can be massive if a company puts out good news, so no problem to sell part or all of VELA's holding on a "big News" day, the key is we do need CDT to put out some significant news hopefully in the next few months. I think CDT should see some recovery next week but after recent volatility could as easily be $2 as $20, at least it's not boring here at the moment!

Hopefully we will get an RNS from VELA soon clarifying the details and confirmation that the PUT option has been excersised. Once we have some clarity then I think we will see some more upward momentum. In the meantime a great entry price, or to top up / average down, or load up your ISA for a longer term potentially big return, that's what I have been doing!
