Noone is having my shares16 May 2020 21:15
I purchased my shares in Avacta after the reverse takeover by Readybuy back in 2006. I then purchased a few more batches in the eary days based on the science behind what the company was working on. The potential cancer treatment possibilities blew my mind, especially having lost my dad to the disease when i was young.
Unfortunately my purchases were around 3.75 pence old money and prior to consolidation! Therefore I'm well underwater but I have still always retained a glimmer of hope for Avacta in terms of one day reaching its ambition; that being a cancer treatment.
Further significant milestones may be reached from Q3 onwards.
The Covid-19 work could be groundbreaking in itself. However, my historical and financial and personal circumstances relating to Avacta mean that whatever happens with this potential cherry (or cherries!!) on the cake, I am selling no shares until a successful cancer treatment by the little Yorkshire based firm is achieved. Until then the present story intrigues me evermore.
The longer we can avoid any takeover the better!
There were only ever 2 or 3 posters on this chat for years (where is Suki the dog?) so this has now become my reading book.
All the best everyone and remember the company's original ambitions!
