Looks like it's going to open down - 2.10p/2.20p spread showing at the moment which is fine as I sold some yesterday and will be wanting to buy them back today.

Of course the question is whether I'll be able to buy them as the brokers/MM's have a habit of not letting you get any shares when the price drops.

I would assume that quite a lot of the yesterday's sellers - and there were a lot, though nowhere near the amount of buys earlier and the day before - will all buy back in too. No reason not to now YA are out and the placing is finished and out of the way.

The problem with SS (and most other management these days) is that he doesn't understand the ways of AIM. If he did he would have raised extra cash last year when the shareprice went up to 10p. A placing then at 7p/8p level would have provided all the funding needed with minimum dilution.

UKOG shareprice was 5p the day before the loan note financing was announced................................

It'll be interesting to see if there is enough momentum to take this straight on up to where it was earlier today and beyond or whether further rises will be dependent on operational updates. If it's the latter then let's hope SS gets beyond all his bargain basement placings and loan note conversions and gets on with his real job.

I bet not too many people saw those 2 RNS's coming out today. SS is certainly one for the surprises. I wish he'd just get on with the work though. We know Horse Hill will flow as all three zones have flowed already so lets hope he gets on with just that. I don't want all this funding to go to his head and for him to start making plans for anywhere else for now.

Well the SP only dropped to a buy price of about 1.10p just after the 0.90p placing so this will probably only fall to maybe 2.20p or 2.15p over the next day or two. After all UKOG is a lot stronger position now with YA gone and the extended flow test underway and hopefully SS will have run out of crazy nobbles and nonsense placings and just get on with the testing at Horse Hill.

I did take some profit but left it rather late though the rest of my holding is still 100% up anyway but I don't think for one minute that I will get to buy them back much cheaper. Don't mind if I do but I just can't see it happening.

Management these days are rubbish. The placings are coming through at totally daft prices and they don't give a damn.

Like some other shares, MATD being one, making any profit seems to have ended up as one big battle with poor management. Lack of communication, placing at ludicrously low shareprices, stupid loan notes, etc, etc.

It would help if the management were just slightly on the side of the shareholders.

There had to be a RNS imminent for that sudden change of direction but I can barely believe how many punters were selling. Almost every trade for a while was a sell - and most of them covered up as buys. Crazy. 3p close anyone.

YA have obviously cheated to get their remaining shares for 1.15p as the shareprice has been far beyond that for days but who cares. A mere 151 million to go and they've probably all gone over the last 2 days of trading anyway.

This could double up now on just this news.

The MM's will see if they can invoke enough panic to make people sell.

I'm pretty sure a RNS has been logged and is imminent but apart from an operations update - can only be positive - or a speeding ticket - quite ludicrous - there isn't much that could be happening.

Looks like there is some kind of an RNS logged to cause this drop back - maybe even a speeding ticket. That'll be a laugh anyway if it happens.

The MM's normally fiddle the buy/sell figures so badly that however big the rise they always seem to manage to get more sells than buys showing. However here, according to my Money AM live prices, so far today there are 285 million buys as against 168 million sells. It's no wonder the shareprice is up more than 30% then.

There'll always be punters selling on the way up and posting about their quick profits but with no signs of any retraces yet and huge buying demand leading to 20%/30% daily rises this is just a good a bet to just hold.

So many times I've traded at the start of re-rates and then had to either buy back at a higher price or just ended up with less shares. Last time this rose last year I had 2 million shares and then sold at a profit very early in the rise and then only bought back 400,000. It was just plain madness on my part.

Yes, the MM's want your shares - then they can satisfy the huge demand here and sell them at a higher price than they paid for them.

I'm not going to make the same mistake I made here last year. I had 2,000,000 at an average of 0.875p and would have made over £150K if I'd held until after the shareprice had peaked but instead sold early and only made about £15K.

I shall hold now all the way to the top and then aim to sell at around the top SP when it bounces back to the top (as shareprices always do).

This rise so far has all been on speculation alone and will strengthen when we get some operational newsflow.

2.5p very quickly here today I expect. During the rise last year there was a very small pullback at 2.5p (though only down to about 2p) and a larger pullback at 4p. Otherwise it was straight up to 10p.

A bit more in here today from 88E I expect. After all they still have the chance to more than double their money here quite easily.
