Well no reply from the Ministry as yet but they have just posted this on their Facebook page:
"Minister of Economy and Energy Secretariat Secretariat discussed current and planned reforms in Georgian energy sector
გიორგი Giorgi Cherkezishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia met with Director of Energy Secretariat Janes Kopach. During the meeting, the current and planned reforms in the energy sector of Georgia were discussed. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Chikovani.
At the meeting, it was emphasized the importance of the ongoing reform in the energy sector, resulting in enhanced energy liberalization, attractive international capital and much more integrated regional energy system that will increase the country’s energy security and stability level.
At the meeting there was a great progress that Georgia has achieved in terms of reforms in the energy sector. The special emphasis was laid on the steps taken in the development of a normative base. The focus was on a number of bills that were prepared in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and are now being sent to the Parliament for discussion.
The sides also discussed regional cooperation issues in the energy sector."
Maybe they are starting to smell the coffee…or is it the gas from Ud2?
