Prawncurry unfortunately Yes you are once you have exceeded the threshold you have to pay CT on anything above so this year is ยฃ6000 and a paltry ยฃ3000 next year so it depends on your tax bracket your in
Cev simply because they are not longer term investors and look daily at the SP , the people who have Isas me included especially those who are using it as a pension top up should be thinking longer term and Not daily / weekly etc as they are not going to draw on any money now ,anyway as for near future I agree with your estimations and look forward to better months ahead. Good luck Iโm off to Caribbean end of march on another cruise ๐ข life is about the Quality of it so while you can go for it I say ,Cancun / November ,Singapore Cruise / Xmas now Caribbean RR and others have been good for me over decades ๐๐
The main line for big profits is in Civil Aerospace not Defence that is just a steady number for RR ,flying hours and margins in price on engine sales will be up and raise extra revenue which the stock market will like.
Steve bang on mate Iโve bought more and it makes me laugh to see the same sails wingers going on about the SP , if they are looking longer term then they need to look every few months not everyday ,they say that they are investors ,gamblers more like maybe they should buy some more and put them in there ISA oh you can only put 20 grand ha ha in so then they will have to buy some and see some reality of holding stock which is open to certain taxes but everyone to there own ๐ good luck my friend
Peakdread let me try and keep this simplistic I like you have an amount of shares in a stocks and isa but because I have a large holding that attracts capital gains Once I sell this is what I mean about a cash value , I totally understand about Isas but as I can only place 20 grand a year in them my other portfolio which has a cash value would be eligible for CGT if I sold over set limit .Your Isa along with all of us who have one has a. Cash value but as you have said is not open to any tax whilst in this product. , I may have not explained myself clear enough for you so I hope that makes it easier , but you do seem a bit obsessed with people having a large holding anyway can we move on now good luck with your ISA
