Lol well yes good timesaving for a country hopping traveller/businesperson but surely for your shopping fanatics. Yes its a slowly disppearing activity but loads of people still want walk down streets and visit actual shops. For shops in a mall i guess there would be one scan on the way into the entire complex but on the streets u would presumably need to scan into every shop. Well for some people that could easily be 10 scans in a matter of a few hours, and maybe many more! Doubt ur going to open up the high st if u need a 15 test every time. Same applies to people going out and visiting numerous bars/pubs. Scanning via ur phone seems the most effective flexible solution. Questions i have is who pays for the 'atm machine' scanners that need to be everywhere; would the gov subsidise/pay for the costs of the scanners and breathalisers; and since this scanner 'infrastructure' will presumably take some time to role out, and therefore rapid tests could already be established, how much enthusiasm would there be for another type of test, especially if not publicized and backed by the gov?
