In the immortal words of Mandy Rice-Davis "Well he would say that wouldn't he" after Lord Astor denied having sex with her.Similar situation really,we've all been screwed.
Good for you JockJoy.I'm totally with you on this one.
Pianista-See my reply to Perrins "Where I'm at" 9th.February 11.17a.m.If you hold your shares in a nominee account you must instruct your broker as to how you wish to vote. Also see article in Daily Mail Sat.8th February "Investors to vote on Sirius bid in March",which will answer your question in full.Make your vote count.Anybody.
Totally agree with you,Perrins.I hold only 5,ooo shares in Sirius, and I will be voting NO.If your shares are held in a nominee account with your stockbroker you must instruct them as to your wishes.Quote Daily Mail Feb.8th."Sirius is worried many retail backers will not register a vote because they own stock through investing platforms.Unless a shareholder contacts the investing platform to tell them how they want to vote, the platform will often automatically include their shares in a DEFAULT vote,"Make sure your vote counts.I would rather the company went into administration than be handed to AA for a pittance.
Caper.Perhaps Anglo are buying them up.The less shares in the open domain means there are less shareholders, therefore it will be easier for them to get 75% of the vote when the time comes.Too simples ? After all the price is not going to change from the one already on the table,so Anglo are just strengthening their position.
I agree with you Gertfrobe.I have a few shares(not as many as you),and I would rather lose the lot than to give in to these robber barons. If we get the chance to vote I will be voting NO.and I hope a lot of shareholders will do likewise. All we need is 26% to stop the deal. Will they be sending us voting forms,or will it all go through the stockbrokers who sold the stock in the first place? Please keep in touch.
Surely Anglo would need majority shareholder backing to take over the company?Would we in fact get a vote? What would happen to an individuals shares if he decided not to sell them?
Polyhalite will travel to China afar,
you just have to stay with this little bright star.
With wheat fields a-plenty that require a lot of nutrition
all will be well when Sirius comes to fruition.
While many have lost faith in this deep money pit
others are saying just wait for a bit.
Look up to the skies this clear cloudless night
and you will see one little star shining ever so bright.
This is our lodestar leading us on
to places where no one has ever gone.
Heading on to places mysterious
Chris Fraser is saying "You cannot be serious".
He has taken our money,we might see it back,
depends on JPM taking up the slack.
If all else fails and we end up in the sxxxe
at least we can be happy this Halloween night.
There is a point of return when it is too late to pull out.We have passed that.
Stay with it Eustus. It will come good,it has to.A lot of shares have been bought recently,so that is a good sign.
Australian lady backer will not want to lose all her money.
Quite agree with you Marvelo. It's a sea of red everywhere today, and it will be a long road back.Trump is not helping with his trade war with China.Nothing is going to improve until BREXIT is sorted one way or the other. All we can do is to hang on in there.
Agree with you Billybigwig. What a mess! There is no way this new deal(or any deal)is going to get through The Commons. We might as well stay in.This uncertainty and unrest is playing hell with the economy and the markets and making all of us worse off.Sick and tired of the whole thing.
No thanks Picket. My garage is full up with Spam,Tins of Soup and Bottled Water just in case I need it after we crash out of the EU with no deal,as the experts are predicting there will be no food around. Also if Trump hits the nuclear button which is always a possibility I am going to be alright.
