whoops .... I meant $115 a barrel

Looking at what happened in the past you should sell when we hit 60p as every time that has happened we have fallen back to 50p. However, the fundamental difference between now and then is oil is currently $100 a barrel. So for me I'm holding as we've just entered the FTSE 250 and I can't see a bad update next week with the current price of oil. Two years ago £1 a share seemed like a dream, but now I'd say it's definitely not impossible. Time will tell if it's the right decision or not.

Confirmed rebalance changes will be announced after market close today and is based on closing prices yesterday. Not 100% sure if we will be included but our market cap was higher than a few of the companies that were predicted to be promoted. Same... ..problem is if I sell at 60p its guaranteed to go to £1 instantly :-( but there seems to be a lot of chatter on this BB this morning so I think today is going to be a good day.

With the price of oil today (and the fact that we'll probably be announced as joining the FTSE 250 again today) if we don't go up and smash 55p it's time for a serious corruption enquiry.

New ISA season just around the corner....pretty sure there'll be lots of PI's joining the oil gravey train! All aboard for great profits....Next stop 60p. Toot toot.

And your point is exactly what....... your short not doing so well or are you hoping to buy back in at 40p?

Thanks ... interesting. I think hedging is a lot more complicated than people think. I get the basic concept, but certainly don't understand the detail.

So how many of you plan to sell when we hit 60p in the next few days in the hope of buying back in at the low 50's. I personally think this will probably be the last time we're in the 50's and you'll end up like those who are still hoping to buy back in at the low 40's. Obviously a bad update next week would derail this, but with the oil market the way it is at the moment I just don't see the update being bad.

All the oil majors are pulling out of Russia due to the Ukraine situation. That will mean a lot of money destined to be invested in Russia will need to go elsewhere. Plus Europe is looking to be less reliant on Russian oil. Surely finding a strategic partner in Kenya must now almost be a certainty?

PS: Current market cap is also higher than Std Life Priv. (SLPE) who were expected to get promoted.

I don't think anyone bought Tullow (as in the company) when it was sub 10p as they thought it was 100% going bust. What is interesting for me today is that the last RNS stated we're averaging $86 for our oil. If this were to continue for the rest of the year that would mean our revenue for the year at 60k bopd would be similar to that of 2018 when we were in the 200p range. I live in hope :-)

Pretty obvious really..... because over 3% of Tullow shares have been shorted.
