I think that the second option would be preferred by the young seeing as they view everyone over 30 as obsolete and out of touch. That way with the old out the way they can sit round eating farmed crickets and drinking soya milk talking about how they saved the planet.

Pemex are debt ridden. How they think they could run the oil field is beyond me. If nobody wants to pay anything then we will have to keep and take our cut of profits.

If this was all pmo’s I’d be worried, but having Talos in with us I’m less so. The US won’t let the Mexicans renege on deals regarding oil. They have far more clout than the Uk.

All this highlights how North Sea is much better area for core business. Tin pot countries are all for Foreign companies spending money on exploration but only too happy to try and change the terms if a commodity is found!

Not sure where you got only one buyer. The article says Mexicans will honour existing contracts.

Totally agree TMT, as we are not aware of the big picture all we can do is try and piece together what we can.
The Hav JV is going nicely and the big question everyone going to ask is are we a one trick pony or can we replicate the same success again.

It’s still a mystery to me why we aren’t drilling anything at present. Especially considering we don’t have the capability to drill all year.
I know we have had delays due to COVID, but feel we are wasting time at present.
We need more results from other areas before NCM make their play.

Stuart, it wasn’t meant as a criticism. I merely suggest it could come anytime and could even be pending or awaiting independent verification. SB also seems very keen to relay Newcrest’s excitement about the potential at Hav, and what better way than to issue MRE earlier.
End of the day none of us know, however wouldn’t want to be out when it drops ;-)

As we are in the second half of the year then the MRE could come anytime, also would it not be in Newcrest’s best interest to release a lower one early to support any required documentation or even potential takeover considerations.
They could then revise as results are known. Why would they wait until the end of the year as some indicate.

Oil diluted, My original price was £1.68 way back in 2016, then bought more at when Eon deal announced. Have bought and sold many times since. My problem isn’t buying them at the wrong price but selling them at the right price. Lol.

I believe this company will recover in time and consider myself a Lth.

Perhaps there will be a spike at some point today or Monday, news may leak about the refinance being agreed.
In the interest of balance however, it may well drop if any delays. In my view an agreement could well be a turning point for share price.
