Something needs to be done to put an end to the shorting of stock, once and for all. It’s ruining good companies and robbing Pi’s. If we can see it then it’s obvious the powers that be can, but are choosing to ignore it.
No other way of putting it other than total corruption in my opinion.

I agree Redirons with your last post, but do we know of any regulatory body that does its job in safeguarding the public.
I also have experience of the FCA in regard to Pmo when Pi’s complained about a massive undisclosed short in which they said they do not respond to complaints (or similar words)

Unfortunately guys the will not respond to you with anything they find. Strange as it sounds they have no obligation to report anything to the complainants.
Which begs question ‘who do they work for’

Funny how some are blaming the market for the drop today. That explains why we have been dropping for over a year!!!
Back to reality, the relentless drop in share price has sweet FA to do with the market and anyone who thinks it isn’t is an idiot.

Agreed, think we would be in trouble without him in charge as NCM would be running rings around us. Not that I didn’t like GH, but SD is next level.

Yes you would think results should have an effect on the share price, unfortunately though it seems to have little effect given all the excellent results so far.
I emailed GGP a while back about the lack of results by NCM and this was their reply:

Newcrest’s decision to not publish interim exploration updates is their own, likely due to these updates not being material to their reporting. They will continue reporting Havieron updates at their 4 x quarterly Exploration updates which previously included these interim expiration results.

Greatland will continue to report these interim updates and along with the Quarterly exploration results, this is an update approximately every 6 weeks.

Think it was possibly good will on NCM’s part as they only usually report at quarter updates and when GGP released their own resource upgrade any good will was gone. Friction between the two no doubt over the release.

Hope your right Jambo, still a chance it’s a fake rise only for them to take back down. Does anyone know if the shorts have reduced further?
It’s quite possible that the 5% is nearly sorted and the powers that be have finally let it go.

It always amazes me how easily people dismiss poor behaviour on NCM’s part as ‘just business’. I agree they have a duty to get it as cheap as possible but withholding size and scale is surely misleading the market by downplaying as much as they can.
The real elephant in the room is whether this stops after the 5% is resolved. Part of me now thinks the games will carry on and their next resource announcement could well be on the low side. Since information is power then we could be in for a tough time and we should prepare for games played around the FS and what that might contain.
If everything is ‘just business’ then don’t expect NCM to reveal too much, especially if they do intend to go for the whole lot. Factor in the blatant manipulation going on before our eyes and it’s easy to join the dots and see where this is going.
On our side however we have a smart cookie in SD and team who I’m sure are fully aware of the games being played.

Exactly wasred, the term ‘fair market value’ is lost on NCM. Regardless of whatever the ultimate cost to them they stand to make massive profit given the cut off date.

I remember back when Newcrest did the JV and people said NCM wouldn’t try and do us over because they have a reputation and wouldn’t risk future deals by bullying us. Fast forward to the present and under SB’s stewardship they have no intention of playing fair and clearly don’t care how they are perceived as long as they get what they want.

Another consideration is that Havieron is the saviour of Telfer and as such they have no reason to be so heavy handed with us. Furthermore, if we were to strike lucky in Scallywag then I would expect them to go even harder to drive for more flesh from GGP as they won’t be so desperate.

Ncm are pulling a fast one by trying to limit value to the MRE. Let it go through arbitration as we stand a better chance of getting more than they are offering.

I’m wondering if SD is holding back the drilling as much as he can to preserve cash while the 5% is in discussions. Normally drilling would have started by now or at least a firm plan for commencement.

Matty, your probably right that they are hiding behind their MRE, but that statement in today’s presentation is totally misleading.

The real conspiracy is NCM’s refusal to accept their own drill results. Shocking behaviour to say the least.

Come on guys where are you! Don’t much like the footnote 1 on slide/page 10 of NCM’s presentation. Seems to have a swipe at GGP’s updated MRE and disregard.
