Bamps, what in your considered opinion do you expect the next NCM resource upgrade will be?
Do you expect it to be similar to ours or much higher to better reflect the size.
I know it a guess, but I’ve always found you realistic in your reasoning.

Matty, it’s no secret about my thoughts on SB. Would love to have seen his face when SD told him we had produced our own resource update. He’d have been spitting feathers, which is no doubt why they’ve refused to endorse.
We shall see in the next few months who’s right and wrong about SB/ NCM’s behaviour.

I think it’s important to distinguish between good debt and bad debt. Debt to keep a struggling company bumping along is one thing, but borrowing in order to grow the business, or in our case to become cash generative is completely different.
On balance however all debt to that point could be considered bad as has risk, which in turn will demand higher rates, but Given the speed of our project though we will be close to production not long after.

What’s worse though Ben, is that NCM fought hard to try and get it for that.
So much for fair value and good faith. If they were truly a good company then they could easily have came out at the price announcement and said they will take the 5% as we think it’s good value. Instead they stay silent!
Not quite the great company some people would have us believe. Indeed my gut feeling is NCM management are reeling from the result, In that a jumped up little explorer has the audacity to challenge them.

I hope I’m sincerely wrong but I get the impression the dirty tricks will continue.

Exactly Red, the biggest strength SD brings to his role is the fact he’s a money man, this gives us the best chance going forward. He will have his strategy to deal with the challenges ahead and until we hear his plan we all need to chill as you say.

On that basis then, why haven’t they already announced their intention to buy?

Banks will always lend on profitability and low risk. There is a danger NCM will try and hamstring us by refusing the 5%, but that’s a risky move in my view as to my knowledge they need the extra 5% to gain total control over the project. Given the low ball figure for this, would they then risk losing it all together in order to gamble on getting the full 30%, especially given NCM’s conservative/cautious approach on things.

Zoros, one convenient truth missed out in relation to our current share price and your assumption of being correct is that any valuation at present is virtually 100% in NCM’s hands. Since they are the ones that release the official numbers, which was in my view held back to facilitate a cheap 5%.
It remains to be seen if this way of thinking changes on completion. Therefore not a true reflection of current value in my eyes.

Spades, I think it’s naive to think the future is nailed on, and your definitely not naive. In a perfect world this should rocket when nearing production but sadly we don’t live in that world.
How long have we been hearing that the shorts are closing and yet they’ve been slowly increasing. They may well close and force the share price up, but equally so it possible they could be bailed out by the player behind the scenes.

Also there are more than a few well researched posters that refuse to believe anything could be going on behind the scenes in regards to NCM. They may of course be right but odds on they’re wrong given the size of the prize as you say.

I’ve been here since 2018 and as we can all see, virtually every positive has been met with the share price falling further (excluding the spike). The firepower JPM and the like have is easily able to pull this wherever they choose and unlikely to stop while there’s profit to be made.
I’ve held so long that I would be scared off selling now given we are in touching distance, but that doesn’t mean I’m burying my head in the sand in regard to what could happen.

It’s becoming clear to me that the shorters could easily push this well into single figures if they were so inclined. So in my view it’s more about holding rather than attacking GGP. Whilst there are a considerable amount of LTH”s there will undoubtedly be many that came late to the party and the only possible reason I can see for the shorts is to totally demoralise and give the impression that there are far better plays elsewhere. If they are successful in convincing enough it could really make things interesting if and when NCM or whoever makes a move.
This is a hard slog for the humble Pi and the powers that be know that only too well.

I suspect it was part of the deal for our loan from NCM and that’s why it was a poor deal in our eyes. Both were announced at the same time if memory serves me.

Zoros, he’s basically telling us we live in fantasy land and the broker notes are over hyped. Yet we are to believe his views over all else. The fact that the asset is growing significantly (as can be seen from the two resource estimates) seems to mean little in his world. Also no mention of scale and size that our CEO has alluded to, especially as we have access to the same data NCM get.
The author showing his true colours by comparing things to SSX and gives no balance to the article, its the kind of tripe the fool prints when bashing a share.

Bang on Jiffy, it’s typical shorter tactic, plant a negative narrative and hope the market runs with it. Totally one sided, in particular complaining that we only own 30 or 25% and implying it’s potentially worthless. Says nothing about the money we will be raking in once up and running.

Indeed Ben, you may well be right. It could be that no official communication can be made until the decision to mine has been announced. A box ticking exercise as clearly we are going mining, but things have to run their course.

Not necessarily Ben, it may have been posturing on SD’s front as the offer was non binding.
Either way it has the desired effect of keeping pressure on SB.

Again, it’s at odds with his last Q&A where SD spoke about possible share consolidation, so doesn’t make any sense to then issue more.
Shaun has proved he’s adaptable and forward thinking when presented with challenges so there must be a good reason for the abrupt changes of course.

Very strange that the question about listing on the ASX was asked recently at the last Q&A ( if I’m not mistaken) to which Shaun basically said it wasn’t a priority.
Why the change so quickly?

Zoros, if that’s SB’s game then I hope he’s misjudged his own shareholders appetite for acquisitions. Seems an idiotic way to get support from them by playing Hav down. Then again that’s why non of this makes any sense, From an investment point of view everyone should be singing from the roof tops. Question is who will have the last laugh?
