My bet would be the whole of GGP, no way would they miss the chance to secure the Paterson, just in case Hav has some brothers or sisters.
Of coarse its all speculation on our part. It could be our priorities are totally different and will never be truly aligned given the gulf in size between the two parties.

Not just that Blantyreboy, don’t forget the dropping of the 6 weekly updates, leaving GGP to step up and refusal to endorse our MRE. Both of which could be seen as sour grapes on their part.
Then factor in the short manipulation which seems to defy logic at this time and speed of news.
Also the 60 mil is chicken feed to them so why not pay it and move on.

It’s all getting very confusing, one side saying it tapers in and the other side seeming to suggest it doesn’t. Early days, but I had hoped the growth shackles were off now the 5% price is sorted.

Also can’t say I’m at ease with NCM seeming to go lukewarm after bigging it up so much in the past.
What happens if the games continue and NCM decline the 5% in order to damage our share price further, especially with the funding negotiations going on. Could it be a high stakes gamble on their part to go after the 30%?

Totally agree Ben, we need to see off any further shenanigans by NCM.
Securing funding would be a game changer and would keep us on the front foot.

Another example of the market and rules not fit for purpose.

Spades, no question that SD has a vision and has built a team to help us get there, we would be in a much more precarious position without him and that team.
It’s now largely in our hands not to sell from under him should a takeover approach happen.

Thanks Tom, I think there is a massive difference between how the two companies view of their respective shareholders. NCM have taken theirs for granted and are now facing backlash as a result, compare this to SD, who’s taking every chance possible to engage and inform.

Interesting dilemma for NCM, they have been downplaying HAV for some time, yet will in the near future have to justify the 5% expense or even a takeover price.
This could then be seen as deliberately misleading their own shareholders as well as the market in order to get a better price.
Either way in my view it’s paints NCM leadership in a bad light.

My comment is more to do with some not being who they say. You can’t say we haven’t seen them on many occasions.

I think Freddie has a fair point as there were more than a few attacks on anyone who dared to give a lower figure. On balance however some did suggest it being worth almost nothing.

Perhaps it’s better all round if people don’t pluck random numbers unless backed up with facts.
Also has anyone noticed a rise in new posters asking what we would except for a takeover. Probably a better idea to keep that to ourselves, dont want to give the other side any ideas.

I’ve said it before, the HGZ gives NCM all they need to justify the expense and any Block caving can be announced well down the line once they tried to get the lot for a pittance. That’s not to say it will be a low ball, just won’t reflect the true size which will be revealed in years to come.
Also in my view, there will be no offer until they get the 5%. But it’s anyones guess what the numbers would be.

In regard to tomorrow, my guess would be that Shaun is going to try and convince us of something and has been aware of it for a week or two since he admitted he was staying for a few days. As it’s been announced as a corporate update it’s clearly not just a chin wag. My thought is the 5% or the finance or possibly both. IMHO

Come on Spades, unless I’m very much mistaken the 5% is definitely happening where as the other two are hypothetical. The only issue being if they choose to pay the price.
It also could be a big catalyst in the share price, one way or another depending on how the market receives it,
I will also be watching intently who was right in the endless speculation you talk about. Lol

If anyone thinks that we are freeloaders then perhaps they should be reminded there wouldn’t be Havieron without little old GGP. Like it or not we are Partners with NCN until such time as they splash the cash.

daveri007, spoon, I know what your both saying but discussions quickly turn to arguments when discussing dilution and consolidation which is why I suggested we wait until we hear news. I would happily discuss the 5% all day long but that seems to wind people up, where as the two things I refer to are purely speculation until we hear otherwise.

Why don’t we all just wait for the results of the 5%, then we will have all the facts and will know roughly what borrowing is needed. Anything else is pure speculation at present.

I just don’t get why it’s being pushed down further and further. It makes no sense, especially considering it could shoot up at any point on news. If they were to let it go from time to time so as to rinse and repeat then there would be far less risk and achieve a similar goal unless it’s been taken down for a client.
I’m starting to question whether the big buyback people are talking will happen. The risk for them gets worse the closer we get to news. Is it possible they are working for someone who will bail them out if a takeover comes about?
