Baring any RNS between now and Monday, I’m guessing SD upcoming interview and meeting with shareholders is to galvanise support for the battle ahead. A CEO is only as strong as their shareholders and is up to us Pi’s to defend against any cheeky take out offer.

It’s refreshing to see and hear a CEO front and centre and I tip my hat to Shaun for doing so.

I wonder if NCM made a massive mistake going for Pretium before sealing the deal on Havieron. Like many big companies these days they fail to read the room and think they can keep writing cheques at the expense of shareholder returns.
SB is damaged goods and needs replacing, but then again that’s for his shareholder to decide.

what annoys me the most is that they stand to make a massive mark up on what they are spending and there is absolutely no reason to try and stitch us up. They could easily take us out at a healthy price for all, safe in the knowledge it could take many years to reveal Hav’s true scale.
I know it’s business, but I hope that Ncm pay the price for any duplicitous behaviour towards us, if that’s their MO.

One thing that’s of real concern to me is what will happen between now and the release of the FS at year end. NCM have shown there hand and seem intent on slowing progress down. Whether for the 5% or total control, I just don’t trust them anymore. I’m sure they will have a very good idea and expectations so why reveal too much before taking us out, after all they have already decided to mine so no real reason to go too quickly and push up the potential of our buy price. Why have they reduced the rigs if not to hamstring us?

It’s obvious NCM don’t care about their reputation as anyone looking in will take their recent behaviour to be childlike.

Hi Kevin, I emailed them last night with a different question, but pointed out my disappointment in Newcrest not releasing the expected results. The reply:

‘ Greatland will continue to report these interim updates and along with the Quarterly exploration results, this is an update approximately every 6 weeks.’

Ggp will still be releasing the the 6 weekly updates themselves. I asked the question and they replied.

I asked the question the other week and Hydro confirmed it was in the JV contract.

We owe NCM nothing, we found it and they want it. They are the ones in a hurry to feed Telfer.
We’re just lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

NCM are the ones that didn’t release the resource upgrade and now they haven’t released the 6 weekly drill info. Information that supposedly has little to do with the 5% negotiations.
We are being played and our so called friend has turned.

Very bad form if they are holding back. SD should refuse to discuss 5% until NCM start playing fair. They are clearly acting in bad faith.
How can fair value be reached when the manager of the project is trying to undermine.
In my opinion of coarse, I suspect they are behind our share price destruction.

Will we get more of the same or will NCM give us a weak set or fewer.
Seeing as SD out payed his opposite number, will SB retaliate. I’m hoping everything stays professional and things continue as previous results.

Question for me is will Newcrest have the a,r,s,e and stop issuing the 6 weekly update. Do we Know if it’s in the JV to have regular updates.
If they did stop then surely their tactics would be fully exposed.

Will be interesting to see Newcrest’s response, whatever that will be.
Also interesting to see NCM only currently own 60%, can’t remember off hand but assume that the 70% is earned on receipt of FS?

Agreed Ben, it will be good to have a resolution ether way as the coffers will be overflowing. Any cash will give us some security going forward.
