Where offers are more complicated - JVs for example - then anything could happen. Assume three bidders all offering different forms of JV. They'll each be assessed for their cash benefits, but what if one offers less immediate cash benefit but better market positioning for EUA in, say, five years time in one particular mineral? Now we have qualitative as well as quantitative criteria to consider, which is much harder.

As a modest holder and recent newcomer, and as someone inclined to think in terms of mcap rather than share price, I'm hoping for 90p, valuing the deal at about 2.5b. That's my six pence worth.

I think part of the point is that Zinnwald is so cheap at 24mill, EMH would boost it's value considerably buy leaping now. Although I'm not sure I want the complications..

I agree, but we've had a big rise and some people will inevitably be taking profits now that the rise has levelled out. Looks like the price will tread water until we get more news.

Look at the 3 month chart. See those regular pullbacks of about 30% of the rise since the last one? Very typical. This is just one of those, aided and abetted by this silly 85p resistance idea. Shares rarely rise in a straight line, and we have a long way to here yet.

Well the RNS suggests forthcoming investment from third party VCs, so perhaps such numbers will be available soon.

I think this is a good update, and gives a real sense of the emerging value and potential value of Tern's portfolio.

There are constraints on what Tern is allowed to say regarding earnings by the investees, as they are private companies, not listed, and if they don't want their financial data broadcast to the world, Tern can't say anything. Also, where an investee is co-owned by another company, like Alsop Louie, both have to be OK with the information that's made public.
