jackbenny, I try to buy on European markets when I can and own a few stocks on Frankfurt of Tradegate, but you have to watch out for liquidity. Some stocks have high volume in london but low in Frankfurt for example. So you can have problems selling. Also, the price change refers to the difference between the last trade and the one prior. So if there's a large spread, and last but one trade was a sell, and the last one a buy, the 'gain' can seem large. But actually neither the bid or offer have moved.
