I suppose I find modest reassurance in this, although if they were sells and were simply soaked up by punters like me, which would keep the price fairly constant, that still leaves the question of why would someone be jumping ship. If they were buys, plus all the other buys today, surely the price would have risen. Anyway, I hope to hell they weren't sells. I really need to this to succeed.

No one else is going to say it so I will. Most of those late trades look like sells to me. If they are, someone is offloading smartish. And no I'm not 'deramping'. I bought in here heavily today. Can anyone reassure me that actually they're more likely to be buys?

OK. So it's effectively like a manged share sell. There's no choice to hold shares as the company has sold all its assets.. although it would of course retain a lot of cash.. so assuming it continues, the option must be there to hold shares that will be valued equivalent to the retained cash presumably. So how is any dividend or payout calculated? The difference between the new share price and the price were the company to retain all proceeds?

I've never held shares in a company that sells it's sole asset, as would be the case if EMH' Geomet holding was bought out by another company. What happens? Assuming a premium to the share price, how do you recover the proceeds? Does the company cease to be? Do get a 'cheque in the post'? How does it work? Sorry for the possibly stupid question but it relates to another holding of mine too. And I've just never been here before.

That's true but spread often relates to volume. This share traded between 8 and 12 for ages. That stupid fund raise killed it and it would be good to see it get back to that range, which is what the MMs are trying to do in my opinion... they make their money on transactions. There are none happening at the moment.

rhodi, my point was that at this moment, judging from L2, the MMs are clearly trying to drive the price up, presumably in order to restart a trading range. But every time the price moves to rise, someone comes along and dumps on it, stopping the rise. If they'd just wait a couple of days I'm sure they could get more and we'd all benefit from a higher price and the possibility of a higher floor.

That should have read "let the (expletive deleted) price rise FIRST!"

I'm sure I risk being laughed at for asking this, but if I need to, other newbies might also. The investor presentation and other sources suggest that human volunteers are 'infected' with various viruses as part of the process of evaluating vaccines. Surely they're not saying they actually infect people with covid... or other lurgies that there's no cure for. What am I not understanding?

@fred... jesus I am genuinely looking to buy in to try and recover a humungous loss made elsewhere. My true colours? You're obviously colour blind or paranoid or both. Random mentions of multiple billions with no explanation as to how people arrive at such valuations do little to inspire newbies. I'll assume a max 1 bill... so a possible x2 SP. hmm... think I'll go back to the covids.
