The talk I had saw was SP rise when funding officially signed off - as I understand the RNS, that hasn't actually happened yet

Seems the agreements for most of the funds are in place but not actually signed and this placing is the last piece of that $100m jigsaw.

Presumably with this now done, the various other parties can sign off their portions as well - which will be the official signing ceremony that Harry has previously mentioned

Given Kefi's forecast has SP between 5-12p at start of production and based on SP rises in recent weeks hitting around 1.7p in anticipation of signoff. The actual full sign off should see us close to 2p, and then rising steadily over the construction period

The way I see the debt / funding - its much like buying a house

You need a mortgage from the banks ($240m) but they aren't going to give you all the money, you have to provide some yourself (in this case, the $100m)

But you don't have all the deposit so a friend is going to help you out and give you the money for the deposit

The banks aren't going to hand over the mortgage until you've got the deposit, but your friend isn't going to just hand over the deposit until they know you can get the mortgage

So as I see it, the RNS 20th Oct with the $240m debt signing was basically a mortgage in principle - the banks saying that they are prepared to give $240m as long as KEFI can get a $100m deposit together

That opened the door for investors who weren't going to give over money without assurances that the banks were on board so they weren't just giving money to a dead end project.

When the $100m is spent, the banks will step in with the $240m (hence its a debt agreement - you can't have debt if you still have money)

As I understand things, yes this is issuing more shares but its also retaining more of the company

(Wasn't there a recent presentation suggesting 70-80% ownership by the end)

So had we not had this, we probably would have given up equity elsewhere for funding

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the result of all of this is that funding will be sorted by the end of the year?

The RNS is talking about other possible $30m funding be negotiated, that suggests that Harry might have been hoping to have that finalised by the end of the year to avoid a placement, but if it was delayed then the options were either issue new shares or miss the end of year deadline

Either one would have resulted in some people unhappy

All the chatter at the moment is obviously about the RNS, I don't know if this is relevant but in Kefi's own Q&A on October 21st

"Question: There is a lot of chatter on bulletin boards about the subtleties of timing the preparation and issuance of an RNS. How long do they usually take to draft and get approval for issuance?

A: Depending on the complexity of the content, RNS announcements can take anywhere from one day to several to draft and clear for release, if no third parties are involved, i.e. just the Company and its NOMAD.

The involvement of third parties and their advisers can add more time and they will not typically start their work until the reportable event has occurred.

These are just generalised comments."

So given that third parties are involved, would this not suggest that its entirely possible that the agreements could have all been reached, documents signed etc but that the official news can't yet be published?

That could also fit with why Harry didn't correct the interviewer the other day who said about financing being all done

The only incentive I could see to sell is if the SP was likely to spike on the immediate news, then drop back down again until the mine was then outputting in 2027 - in which case sell high, buy low

However that is a total unknown that could backfire completely, and given that I am in no rush for taking profits, I'm pretty confident I'll be holding and hoping dividends come in the future

As I recall it did the same last Monday. Kefi seems to favour releasing news on a Tuesday morning, so people probably getting in in anticipation

I don't think any of us would object to having a do over with the SP back at 0.5p so we could gain a more substantial holding prior to seeing the debt signoff. I could certain increase my share count in such a situation, however I wouldn't go so far as to try and scare people into selling theirs for such an opportunity

We all had the chance to buy what we wanted at 0.5p, that door seems to be firmly shut now, and all being well the door on 1.5p will soon be closing as well

Part of me would like to see the SP climb, though part of me would prefer it stay under the radar even longer to give me more time to top up

Trying to predict SP short term is pointless, you might as well throw darts at board whilst wearing a blindfold

I think the only agreement would be, if news breaks confirming equity then SP will rise

Personally I would be surprised if it reached 3p by the end of the year

I think it will break 2p with equity confirmed, rising steady as mine construction progresses.

Once mining is in full flow, loans are cleared etc then SP would be significantly higher, but even best case scenario has that day being a few years away

Though I rarely post, I've been following Kefi and this board for more than 5 years

During that time I've seen numerous occasions where Harry would lay down a target for getting the banks signed, the date would come and go with nothing but more shares being issued, and numerous people on this board would be posting relentlessly that Harry is just on a pump & dump, that he will never get the signing done and Kefi is going to fail

Now here we are with government and banks on board and backing Kefi

I hope as much as the next person that the news drops soon, but am I worried if it doesn't? No

There is no insurmountable hurdle between now and breaking ground other than patience

The only people I see with a need to be negative are

A) Those who want quick SP rise so they can pocket a profit and run

B) People who have missed the boat on the cheap SP of a few months ago and want it to drop to get back in

C) People who just have nothing better to do with their day

Unless I'm missing something, the RNS on the 17th said '1 week + 1 week', which would allow for an RNS next week

And the fixed price costing, he talked about it in a recent interview and he said 60 days would put us "around the end of November" - it wasn't an exact date he gave

Does anyone know the exact date that the 60 day timer was triggered?

I noticed Kefi tends to release finance RNSs on a Tuesday morning.

It seems someone is anticipating the same thing

I sold my holding of Evraz on the news of demerger with the intention of buying in after the expected drop

Is today's drop related in anyway to the demerger or is it solely related to tensions with Ukraine and can we then expect another drop?

Stockready, I'm curious as to what would need to be released in an RNS before you and your alter egos finally give it a rest
I'd hope that if finances do close by the January deadline that you will either accept it positively or just leave, but I suspect we'll then just have you continuing the doomsday talk and probably claim the mines are going to collapse or something.

So where is your line in the sand that you will accept you were wrong? Just so we all know incase we get there
