think it depends by end of august, not sure of the review date. I'm sure the 7.3 div and outlook will lift the SP from wherever the bottom is and by mid august. Citi already got their 150p target (twice) but Barclays say 140p while HSBC say 175p and shorts still to close etc. Healthy tension in the price discovery LoL

good use of funds to buyback at these prices. Shorts starting to close too

not forgetting there is more than 4% declared short, they got to buy back too, so 12% at current SP

Yes good news. That's about 9% of shares at todays price.

Got to hope 2nd half sees energy prices down and inflation down and/ or supply chain/ China back to a new normal

Could argue global freeze thaw policies, like interest rates or central bank asset purchases etc create the conditions for change.

Citi got their target 150 today. 21p div in august (interim 7.3 plus phoenix if a special div..). Might be enough to keep abdn in by review day 31 Aug?

Will look better in August. Hickma, Howden or HL will exit ftse 100 imho

Back in march they said 'Commitment to shareholder returns demonstrated by intention to return c£0.3bn net proceeds from sale of 4% stake in Phoenix to shareholders, method and timing to be announced as soon as practicable.' Havent heard anymore than that?
They also said 'Maintain sustainable dividend policy of 14.6p per annum with the intention of growing the dividend in
line with our assessment of medium term profit growth, once the dividend is 1.5x covered by adjusted capital generation.'

A few more shorts to close this time round. I doubt it will be an orderly exit. Dividend will pay for the stock over next10 years

Happy with the rns. Will be interesting to see if SP consolidates around here/ c.28.25p. TBH, I am expecting Lewis to walk this to the line at FY and RNS's to drop confirming his performance in the meantime
