Cathal will see antibody testing as his fast track to profitability, which is had hoped for q2 and has now put back to q3 (as per his recent interview).
He will be looking at the numbers coming from Mach1 and i expect will act swiftly to upgrade, if required.

It's only my opinion, but i wager a second bolt-on modular machine added to lab before end of June.

Yes, Channel Partners was made clear by Cathal early last week.
Very limited admin required by Open Orphan and a straight-forward and easy to calculate (as shareholders) profit per test when rates announced.

I think it's fair to say, the math is on our side regardless of the final numbers that make up the deal and price to test.

Cathal mentioned in interview that "who wouldn't pay 100 or 150 to find out if thay had antibodies". He then went on to talk about banks etc wanting staff checked regularly. Then, as per my comments earlier he confirmed one machine could run 21k tests each week (that's 24hrs per day).

What he didn't mention is, a couple of weeks ago Quotient CEO told media each test cassette (the cassettes that Orph will have to buy from Quotient) will cost $15 to $25.

Expecting to benefit from antibody testing to UK population.

Abbott - Sars-CoV-2 IgG tested [not IgM]
Roche - Sars-CoV-2 IgG and IgM tested
Quotient - Sars-CoV-2 IgG and IgM tested

I don't have time. Anyone take a look to see if Abbott's test covers both IgG and IgM.
Important as signals time exposure etc.

Yes, they have to focus on demand. No choice.
We're a small Co. Revenue gains from any participation from Oprh will be transformational for us.

You also need a medical professional to draw the blood. That alone is a resource.
Blood banks and the such will no doubt play a part [potentially].
When you start to think about the demand [and scope for demand] and then realise that until a solution is in place OR immunity is assured overtime from antibodies then further antibody tests per person will be required.

I've heard a few numbers thrown around on this forum regarding output of Quotient test machines. Perhaps i can enlighten those needing to know the details.

A cart will hold 1000 tests.
It takes 35 mins for the first result to appear. Afterwards, a test result is processed every 24 seconds (roughly).
This translates into approx 1000 tests performed per machine per shift (8 hrs).
That's were they achieve figures of 3000 completed tests per day x 1 machine [based on 3 x 8hr shifts]

Roche and Quotient tests are both lab based and require blood to be drawn by a medical professional and then sent to lab.

Roche tests can (in many circumstances) be performed within NHS labs because they may already have suitable machines.
Quotient (Open Orphan partner) tests would be performed at hVIVO unless a machine was installed with a partner.

The home based tests only require a small prick of blood. Currently, none of the home based kits produce satisfactory results.

I didn't expect Open Orphan to be at the forefront of antibody testing in UK.
You're forgetting about private medical, corporate and personal. Open Orphan will be working with channel partners which i always understood would be private medical etc. If we can get a piece of NHS then great. That will be based on demand vs supply.
We only require a very small slice of a large cake to see antibody testing as transformational.

Cathal let slip that upon signing contracts for challenge studies client pays 25percent upfront.
Worth keeping in mind when calculating cash burn etc.
