In my opinion this company will be acquired shortly by the Govt of Abu Dhabi. They are the only credible buyer and they will want all the public “headlines” to go away so the main hospital provider in the UAE can operate with certainty.

This company is totally unbelievable. It is now a litigation lawyers dream imo.
The CEO was paid over US$11 million in 2017 and 2018 and paid god knows how much in 2019. The other non-exec directors sold hundreds of millions of pounds of their shares in full knowledge of all this stuff that was finally disclosed by Freeh yesterday. What has been going on in the Boardroom and with the management “controls”? Auditors hello? Presumably Auditors were also paid a fortune in fees.
All jolly good fun at investor’s expense. Absolutely dreadful and overseas company listings have taken a huge credibility hit here and with the other Shetty company.

Surely they must be suspended before market opening today pending clarification of the cash and debt situation etc? This RNS is quite a revelation and until the independent committee get to the bottom of all this I cannot see how a fair market in these shares can be made.

Aviva could be a fantastic investment. Now that the long slow decline under the current Chairman is almost over what this company urgently requires is an “outsider” as the new Chairman and an activist investor to shake things up and unlock value that is hidden away in cosy Avivaworld.

Either that or using his remaining shares as part of the security in any debt refinancing. Houlihan Lokey won’t recommend he buys any more NMC shares that’s for sure. They have a superb debt restructuring team, sounds like they will be busy.

I agree he picked up on a company with Corp Governance issues and with related party transactions etc etc and he has planted acres of seeds of doubt. The fiasco around director’s shareholding’s hasn’t helped the co, neither has their growing debtor position and questions over their cash flow. What I meant was he doesn’t have “inside” information on actual performance of their various businesses (at least to my knowledge he doesn’t).
FWIW if the independent review had uncovered any holes in the Balance Sheet surely the Board would have been advised and they would have announced this by now???

The company keep reiterating that trading is “on target” or “as per expectations” in all their announcements.
Once they get their Corp Governance and their Balance Sheet sorted out it should be ok.

Certainly got to question the credibility of an analyst who reduced their co valuation by 85% ! I don’t know when she last issued a research note but I bet it was a while ago. As for calling for an “audit” don’t they have annual and semi annual audits anyway? They have a retired EY auditor on the Board and also an Audit Committee etc so I assume they already are audited properly.

The company shouldn’t have appointed the independent investigators it says NED Jonathan Bomford appointed them!!!

Certainly varied and colourful clients not sure how relevant to adding up some cash and debt balances though...that would seem to be rather boring for them :)
