There is some ground activity on the Artemis target of Nimitz - approximately 3 km East of Havieron. I would imagine they would start with their most prospective target, so i was a little surprised they have not gone straight for the targets NW of Havieron where it is still open. Nevertheless you can see from the video just how close they are to the GGP/NC JV area.

On the note released on the day of the last results, Hannam stated that the valuation was 'under review' and did not produce a target price. They absolutley could have calculated this on the Thursday or waited a couple of hours and released it on the Friday. This upcomingThursday will be 3 weeks since this note, in my option I would classify this as a delay. We have yet to receive any note from Berenberg, they were announced as joint brokers 30th July, I would say that this also getting to a delay stage.

For me the delay to the notes are interesting.

Why would they continue to delay? The Hannam excuse of 'we are still working it out' is complete rubbish. I suspect the delay was partly because of GDXJ, in that nobody really knew how the SP would respond. Of course it should not really matter because a SP should be based on company fundamentals, but obviously there is a strong element of fudging in these notes.

But a continued delay becomes more interesting, my limited understanding is that broker's tend to know everything about a company. What could they now be waiting for? Maybe the Hannam and Berenberg notes will come out this week. But any continued delay to me suggests they are waiting for something to drop, more specifically they know something is about to drop. Remember the 17.8 p Hannam target was released a matter of hours after the commencement of drilling RNS at Scallywag - this was obviously planned.

MAJWand - I do not follow that company so it is difficult to know. But it seems unlikely that the market is wrong by a tune of several hundred million.

If i were to take a stab I would say the answer to your question is on page 9: Initial Capital Cost US$ millions $839 ..... If this company were to find 839 million to fund the mine Capex costs ... i would suspect its market cap and SP would rise by 839 million and the value of gold in the ground would be similar.

The other important aspect is the ASIC... I think the market is starting to anticipate block caving and a low ASIC in the case of GGP.

Anyone have any idea what this large disturbance at Havieron could be?

@Holla, yes i think you are right... if more funds buy the free float decreases and so would the free-float market cap....

But our current market cap has already increased by 80% since the data used for this rebalnce on the 31st august..

So if a few funds bought in and say take 10% of GGP and thus reducing the free float by 10%..... the massive increase in full market cap will far outweigh it and still lead to an increase in weighting and a big in December ..

No idea, maybe there is a second buyer accumulating as well.....who knows.... but all actual evidence points to a very high probability that the UT was GDXJ. Once VanEck update their daily holdings which i presume will be sometime before monday we should be able to see exactly how many shares they have.

For further evidence have a look at the Petropavlovsk (POG) trades on LSE, they too were included in the GDXJ. There was a very similar large UT trade on Friday afternoon. Stating anything other than the buy was not GDXJ is complete nonsense.

Maybe there is a second big buyer accumulating in the background, but the large UT trade was 100% GDXJ

Would we have to pay anything for an exploration decline?

Newcrest need to deliver the PFS to get stage 3 finished. If an exploration decline is needed to deliver a PFS and then FS, is that not newcrest's financial problem? Maybe it is different if this decline is then actually used for mining?

It is also worth noting that in each stage the spend from newcrest is a minimum spend.

I had a look at the Uk companies (POG, Hocinshield and Highland Gold) + the new additions.

This website provides an indication of the free float, it wont be exact, but hopefully a reasonable estimate.

Broadly speaking the free float allocation in the MVIS index seems to be reasonable for these companies. I think the error could be isolated to GGP - at least on this index.

Brilliant summary TMT ..... It appears December could be the Perfect Storm mark 2 for the share price....

Its also worth noting that our 0.44% is based off data from the 31st August. Our market cap is already up some 70% since then -this will almost have certainly out preformed other shares in the index. Its still 3 months to the next index, but i think it is likely that we will get an upgrade in the next quarter. It will not be as big as this buy, but still potentially significant.

I have been looking on the satellite imagery and i have yet to spot any artemis action. It will be interesting to see if they start in the site NW of havieron...

They have 9,682,862 shares. But yes i think it is a fantastic opportunity, so thanks GDXJ.

I think there is a silver cap on the index - Fresnillo became to big for the index. Its not a bad thing in the long run, but will mean bargains this week. On Friday will sell their $165 million GDXJ holding - this is causing the drop.
