A lot of assumptions on what people think or do or have. Risk is everywhere and you price it in, fine. But you don't stick your head in the sand with false optimism. Maybe sometimes other people might actually know better and may have a valid point. Shouting them down is pointless and toxic. That is the frustration, never mind the rudeness of it.

Ramaphosa is in a very difficult situation, if he slams down the lid on the cookie jar, too many fingers will bleed, and he will be out of a job. There are still good and competent people in the ANC government but they have a difficult road to walk. The good ones usually get fired as ministers when they point out the inconvient truth. Difficult times but there is still hope

It is hardly a "new government"....it is still the same old party and elite behind new president. That is the nub of the problem Ramaphosa faces. Cynism is one thing but unbridled optimism in the face of historic failure is another. The South African people deserve better. I hope it does come good but temper the expectations in the face of reality what is on the ground.

I hope you are right Halespur, in a "rational world "that all sounds great. But, in present day RSA it is more complicated unfortunately. Everyone, literally, everyone wants a slice of the pie when they are involved at whatever level for any decision. Ramaphosa with all good intentions has a a helluva mountain to climb. Fingers crossed.

It took Jubilee Platinum ( now Jubikee Metals) 5 years + to get a mining license. That is the harsh reality. However, this does not mean BMN will not prosper, but it will have to do so despite the negative drag around it. So far it has done well..
