715 Kempton VOI e/w 25/1
Good Afternoon
I am off to be beloved Kempton Park Tonight, a place I spend most my Winter at while everyone else is heavily focused on the Jump Season
Never nobody there apart from a few fellow pro’s but I do believe there is good value to be had and often find myself backing horses that I personally feel should be half the price. The less people looking at a meeting the more chance you will have of making a living from the game.
The betting exchanges have some of the best brains punting professional on it so more times than not come race time the value has gone. The brains largely will be looking at the main meeting of the day with strong liquidity in the market which means all weather racing can be an afterthought and I truly believe I have a nice little niche to backing some nice priced winners.
At 715pm we have a Class 4 middle distance race run over 1m3f, let me get my excuses in early and say this looks one for the hard tray. However, I am not one to look at prices till I have had a good read of the race and I do think the front of the market is skinny.
VALENTION DANCER (3/1) & RASHDAN (4/1) at time of writing head the market and I think currently they have the right favorite but not sure about this RASHDAN.
Headgear has been changed around on this Hugo Palmer horse last year and personally think he is being priced up on his powerful connections with James Doyle riding.
I suppose this is a step down in class from his last run but having watched that race I make him 10/1.
The race VALENTINE DANCER ran in last time is the piece of form I think might be the best on offer and I think horses who finished in the frame all might have a few pounds in hand.
Two of the horses who filled the frame take VALENTINE DANCER on again and although I expect that horse to beat them again, I did think having watched the run through of VOI she might be much closer tonight with a more positive ride and at a whopping 25/1 I must invest to find out.
Both of the horse's wins have been against her own sex which might be a negative for her tonight but it’s all about her price that interests me.
I was at Kempton when she won on her previous start and I was all over the horse that finished second that day (MAGIC MIRROR). I thought she was a good thing and well handicap and was surprised to see tonight's selection beat her.
MAGIC MIRROR went on to win next time (Not a penny on) and VOI last time was ridden by tonight’s Jockey Martin Dwyer and was dropped right out the back and it was a strange ride to say the least. Having been so far out of her ground he then was riding a race when frankly the race was all over! She does have the class for this type of race as she is a class 4 winner off a 2lb higher mark then she runs off tonight when winning on the turf at Windsor last year.
I note she is entered up for a fillies
