RE: Market Makers9 Feb 2019 16:51
not true inner-harmony yet again you fail to understand how the market works.
If they have taken the shares from the seller then it must be published, and we would see it, and it would enter the trade analysis summations. The point is that if they have not yet taken the shares from the seller then they have the option to muck about with the market by taking themselves a short position, try running a short to get the market to give them cheap shares by moving the price down to below the minimum price that the seller wishes to accept - here approximately 40p. If they succeed they take those shares and say to their seller - sorry can't sell your shares just yet at the price you want, we'll try again next week. Rinse and repeat. If they fail in the short then they simply print the sellers shares and make their money on the difference between the average sell price of their short position and the value they have to give the seller.
The market makers have two options and simply play it so that they have the choice of the more lucrative result for them. Very easy for them. The trick for an amateur hour shorter is not to expose that you have shorted the share because if you do then the MMs can simply move the price up forcing a short squeeze on you - as they did on the 12th of december.
It is patently obvious with all the trolling in the last week or so, plus the patterns of share sells between 8 and 10m each morning that there are amateur shorts currently in play. I shall not reveal the quantity or strike price of that position publicly here as it gives too much information away far too easily. At present the amateur hour shorters are all playing the game of trying to fool some even dimmer shorters to come in and sell them the shares that they need to close their shorts. In some ways this would yield a marginally moral outcome as the last and laziest shorters will get stiffed the most. The rest of us don't really care about that though - we are more focused on the future gains that will appear once this nonsensical period ends.
