DarrylJ - no I do not think that Vaneck stake growth and MM daily trading imbalance are related. For example Vaneck's stake grew with the purchase of 211,938 last wednesday but the overall trade balance was -82K.

On thursday and friday Vaneck's stake did not increase at all and the daily trade balances were -50K and +683K respectively.

Indeed our valuation increased by more than £16M today so more than RedT, including its recent appreciation, today.

They have indeed had a very hard time recently and I wish them the best of luck as one of our potential future customers, however BE winning a significant fraction of the Eskom 1440MWh battery contracts is a much bigger scale of things than simply signing a partnership agreement to offer 6MWh batteries along with PV farms. I know that their RNS repeats 'fully financed' three times but as far as I can make out their offering actually only becomes 'fully financed' once it wins a contract in a PPA competition.

So now is the point that they start increasing the spread to lower the Sell price and take profits from day traders.

Every energy company needs to provide a fuel mix disclosure which shows the breakdown of electricity generation historically. The charts below show this for the period 1/4/2017 - 31/3/2018 when we were trading under the First Utility name.

They then go on to state:- The Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD) is a retrospective reporting tool which measures the timeframe of 1/4/2017 - 31/3/2018 and is reported in October. As such our current mix reflects the period from April 2017 to March 2018.

It would seem both the 'historical' (not 100% renewable) and 'current' (100% renewable) are for the same time period.

Finn - that is for V2O5 which is only 56% Vanadium by weight. The FeV (KgV - i.e. per Kg of contained V) is typically 5 times this price.

There is absolutely no doubt about it this - Electric vehicles are coming, India, China and Africa are coming, energy storage is coming. California, Hawaii, Nevada and the UK (UK climate change act 2008) all have legally binding requirements to move to renewable energy production - there is nothing that can stop this.

faramog - 1 GWh requires approximately 5,000 tonnes of Vanadium - so 100 GWh per year would in principle require half a million tonnes of Vanadium a year.

Is that possible ? Well yes, it only requires a Vanadium industry that is 6 times larger than the one we have today.

Last year there were 21 million tonnes of Copper produced, and Copper is much less abundant than Vanadium

RK - these numbers need to constantly borne in mind - they all point to an immense industry. Hardly surprising when you consider that over the next 20 years we have to reduce our carbon dioxide generation by about 80% or we will have irreversibly wrecked the planet.

Move over coal, oil and gas the electrical industries are the ones to be in in the 21st century.
