RE: Christmas BMN Thoughts18 Dec 2019 09:28
Nicely summarise BBN but you have perhaps underplayed the positive side of the curious drop in Vanadium prices.
1) This has wrecked the plans of dozens of johnny come lately Vanadium mining projects. Some of the more advanced ones, like AVL and TNG may make it but I have severe doubts about many others, who can, at this stage, remain nameless.
2) One of these is no doubt Stina resources, were trying to ape the integrated Vanadium mines-to-battery story that BMN had been talking about for years. They quite successfully rode the Vanadium wave with their Bisoni Vanadium projects in the US - however they have subsequently failed to float their V23 platform that contains these and then failed to sell it off in September this year. Living on borrowed money had to stop and so they were then forced to sell off the Jewel in the crown - Enerox.
3) Rongke power - after having to completely stop production of electrolyte for the Dalian battery in 2018 because they couldn't afford the electrolyte they have now restarted and tell me that the first 100MW/400MWh will be commission by July 2020.
