They have picked Goodmans again for the appeal case. Mr Mark could be back!
For anybody who wasn't here at the time, I believe this was the thread, alot of work by HNS_77 (Not seen him/her in a while). Have a read to refresh yourselves.

yes was very well documented with a whole investigation from people on here, showing the tie-ins with her family and members within the Canadian film industry and PLEX
From what I saw of the case, I think out lawyers and witness questions were good. PLEX on the other hand I was super surprised they got the job, they were awful. Mr Mark's busses, and the cannabis lawyer.
I noticed the PLEX share price hasn't rocketed upwards seeing as they are adding 1.2BCAD to the firms value. I still remain hopeful we get a favourable outcome, whatever that may be. From the digging a few months ago it seems that judge Conway certainly knew of (to say the least) the PLEX board etc which surely could be raised as a conflict of interest.
If CINE doesn't pay won't it come back to the UK court, not the US, in which case we face the opposite battle of what we had in Canada (Canadians like to side with Canadians) so if that does happen in the UK that might be an advantage?
The radio silence from CINE is frustrating, but surely they must be keeping their cards close to their chest, and not giving the PLEX team anything extra to work on.
they are paid to ramp and de-ramp. Clickbait headlines, and adverts everywhere, more clicks = more £££££. Also to note that their writers are freelancers so can write what they want to suit their own personal agenda.
I read that Cineplex was due an update of some sort any time now, I think it was Q2 update (Due yesterday apparently) Hence why I thought there was a CW uptick yesterday afternoon as if something bad had been announced for CP.
Was reading earlier of $2bn BO predictions for the New Avatar film set for release in December!
Lightyear seems like quite a flop (I saw the trailer before watching Top Gun and didn't think much to it at all!), but hopefully, the new Minions film Rise of Gru adds to the $1Bn already taken by the franchise. Good time for release with school holidays coming up.
I was wondering, with the massive success of the new Top Gun film, and the new cast added, what the possibility of the next film COULD be. Do you think that is it for Top Gun, or will they carry it along (hopefully not another 36 years later). Lots of possible storylines to follow on with, and it's done great at the B.O.
Alex
He shows up in green text for me, same with all the others who provide anything with zero value to the board.
Seems to be a down day for travel and leisure, NEX down 9% after a good trading update.
I took my family (3x adults 1x student) to Imax to see TopGun last Thursday tickets were £70, probably £20 spent on drinks etc etc. We all left and agreed that seeing a film like that cannot be replicated at home via a streaming site. Watched a film on Saturday on a mates 76" Samsung with a decent sound system and it still didn't compare at all.
Consider the cost of taking the family to for example a football match (I have no idea the cost of that but it's not going to be £100) for the same duration.
The issue I have with Netflix and Amazon at the moment is there's too much new crap, mixed with old classics. Spent 20 mons trying to find something new which peaked my interest, couldn't find anything and the watched the US office which I've probably seen about 5 times now.
Bye then ocean.
H1 results in August I believe ??
Saw it myself in Imax on Thursday night in Telford, was quite busy for the 7:20 showing, and even better, everybody had sweets drinks etc etc.
Got to admit it's been quite a while since I was last at the cinema, work, convenience of watching stuff at home, and life often got in the way, but really enjoyed TGM, and quite fancy seeing Jurassic park too! Sure streaming is convenient, but there's just no comparison to watching on Imax screen with a superior sound system.
I think alot of it must be reaction to the airlines messing everything up at the moment. Remember we're lumped in with travel and leisure stocks, so on a bad day for airlines is a bad day for us!
Actually seen lots of adverts for it, Reddit, TikTok, and Twitter, something I've been critical about the lack of before. Also the Kawasaki World superbike team are running a retro inspired paintjob this weekend in the colours of the original GPZ from Top Gun 1 and Maverick Vinales in MotoGP has been running a special Maverick paintjob helmet for the past few rounds.
Not booked tickets, but my brother is coming to stay with me for a week next week, might treat him to a 4DX ticket and a bag of popcorn (he's a poor student). Think Telford is 4DX, I don't think Stoke is I can't wait to see it!
