Have people forgot how corrupt Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland etc was before they managed to get rid of that awful Kremlin led system? Ukraine, just like those countries, will rid themselves of corruption and the Kremlin if we help them. Spot on lounge. It is painful how predictable Russia are and even more painful how dumb Trump is. The so called peace talks, cease fire will break down. Putin will blame Zelensky and so will Trump, and that will be the Americans out. Maybe this minerals deal will keep the American on side. Who knows. The Ukrainians don’t seem to be in any rush to sign it. I hate to say it but it’s getting to the point where they’d probably get a better deal off China. And some of their land back. Let Trump swivel on that.

If Trumps done anything in the last 5 weeks it’s ruin Americas credibility in the world. The Russians couldn’t have planted anyone more useful in the White House themselves. He’s already divided Europe and America. All he has to do now is divide Europe and we’re all at war.

2024 full year results next week (12th). Hopefully some positive news to come. The last quarter was good and Metinvest released a positive statement on their Ukraine operations. Hopefully this peace treaty well start to get some traction as well.

This is exactly what we need. Europe to take charge. This and the $300bn Russia was stupid enough to leave in Western banks should see Putin off for good. There will never be peace now while Putin is alive. He’s crossed a line there’s no turning back from. The only language he understands is force. Trump will never accept that’s cause he wants to be his mate. Or more likely the Russians have some dirt on him.

The so called deal maker couldn’t have f*#ked things up more if he’d tried. He’s all over the news saying he wants a quick deal. All Putin has to do is sit this out. When talks do start he’ll make ridiculous demands, basically Ukraines surrender, terms which they’ll never agree to. Talks will break down and Putins propaganda machine will blame Zelensky and Trump will fall for it all hook line and sinker. One way or another they are going to lose US support.

i don’t think zelensky played his hand well at all. he would have been better off playing the game and getting the deal signed. but the trump administration treat him like he’s the aggressor somehow. i think trumps still ****ed at him for not helping him dig up dirt on hunter biden.

I think zelensky is mentally/emotionally exhausted. He shouldn’t have been put in front of the cameras like that but that’s how Trump does things. 3 years of war now he’s in the position where the President of the USA is siding more with Russia than him. You couldn’t make it up. They recon Churchill was mentally screwed by the end of WW2 and wasn’t making any sense. Which is why you need elections but that’s not possible under the current circumstances. I’d still speculate the deal will be signed in the next week or two.
