By which time the JG musicals should be back to something like normal - talk about frustration. This could hit the stratosphere. 15 million bums on seats (in a normal year.) 5 million database, mainly from that 5 million, handed on a plate to Melody. Plus musical lovers all over the world who don't live in USA/New York. It' Melody's for the taking !

What's more, If Melody can get their cost versus revenue structured so as to make a profit, they will make a greater market appeal.

I had thought Deadcross, that they at least made a small profit in 2018, but it seems they didn't manage that either.

So Spotify has never made a profit despite paying the artists peanuts. From what I have read previously they sacrifice artists payments for the benefit of licence holders royalties. I'm not a businessman and probably I'm missing something, but the numbers just suggest the whole thing is built on sand. And yet the market cap has reached nearly $60 billion !

But this company hasn't done anything wrong. It looked a smart move to dispose of UK and Euro satellite operations in order to purchase Quickline. This should start to produce good revenue during 2021.

Two points:-

1. Melody won't need to make a profit to raise the value/market cap of the company. Just as long as they get the revenue.
2. Why aren't they in the above 'hit parade' ? The fact that they aren't just says that the name is not out there yet. So when will it be? No-one can buy the service if they don't know it's there!

How can the SP be 3.93 when the bid is 3.40 and the offer is 3.90?

Melody have all their ducks in a row, although who's to say they won't add one or two more that we don't know about?

The SP is going nowhere though until there is some meaningful revenue (doesn't have to be profit yet -see Spotify).
With Napster integrated the 2021 H1 numbers will give us a start. Hopefully the 100 million will be upped.

If Broadway is back on 30 May, there may be some figures included. I agree Lord, Broadway is the jewel in the crown, IMO. With nearly 15 million a year - in a normal year- and JG'S database of nearly 5 million, Melody are being given a goldmine on a plate

As for the live gigs and working with LN, which is the way Melody was designed to work, obviously the sooner the better.

But where is the marketing and PR? Even after all this time Melody is nothing like a household name. Neither is Napster come to that . The name has been lost in the mist. I have to admit, that until the t/o I didn't realise they were still around.

Exactly so Wayneb. Live gigs with Live Nation and JG musicals is what Melody were here to do, and they haven't been able to get on with it. Let's hope we can light the blue touch paper to the rocket in 2021 !

Talking of JG, he has until this time next year to exercise his remaining $9 million of options.
This is approx. but there are about 2.5 billion shares in issue. Assuming the deal is still based on a market cap of £220 million ( I've not seen anything to the contrary), JG will able to buy at approx 8.8 pence - somewhat less than he paid for his initial $1 million tranche. Dilution seems to work in his favour.
