Yes I've found the 6 Jan 2020 one Italian, although there is still one dated 8 Jan (now deleted) on the other site.
But reading the 6 Jan one it merely says the remaining $9 million has been extended to the end of this year, so i assumed the conditions would be the same. The 2019 financial report says otherwise.

Sorry to cause confusion when it looks as though you are right.
I think any lack of news from JGO is because they can't get started. It's the same for Lloyd-Webber and the West End musicals. But let's be positive - the vaccines should start to do their work, and the better weather will certainly be a big help.

The page I'm looking at refers to the announcement of 8 January 2020. It says 'click article' and then comes up as not found. It seems to be the only announcement where it does this.

As a matter of interest though what does your article of 6 January say, regarding the treatment of the outstanding options?

I must admit I have noticed before in the 2019 report the outstanding options are 44,973,369 to be exercised at 15.3p, so you are probably right. Whether JG would be happy about this though, I doubt.

Following your post, I've found something a bit strange. (Well strange to me). Actually I'm a bit boggle-eyed, so I'll leave it until tomorrow.
But I've looked through Melody's RNSs on the Stock Exchange page:-

7 June 2019. They announced JG's $10 million option, until 31 December 2019 pretty much as I said i.e. to a market cap of £220.

Only $1 million of these were exercised at the time and it was agreed to defer the remaining $9 million until 31 December 2021. This was announced in a further RNS dated 8 January 2020.

I agree with you that in the financial report for year ending December 2019 it shows JG's exercise price as 15.3 pence.
I had assumed the remaining $9 million would have been on the same terms as the previous $1 million.
But here's the mysterious bit. That RNS of 8 January 2020 has been deleted from Melody's Stock Exchange page.

Without looking up the exact wording, I believe it was to the effect that the options would be exercised at a price to reflect a market cap of £220 million. The RNS wasn't well-worded, and there was some debate over it. But that was what was generally settled

Like you Lord, I consider the JG musicals to be the jewel in Melody's crown.
I wouldn't read too much into JG's lack of communication. Consider people like Cameron Mackintosh and Lloyd-Webber in UK, then JG is on their level in US. They have all been anchored by Covid for the last year. Torpedoed amidships in fact.

Given reasonable luck with the worldwide vaccinations, we should be rolling again by the end of the year, maybe sooner.
It is worth remembering that JG still has $9 (£6.7) million of options outstanding which he has until the end of the year to exercise.
In fact he is in a better position than he was due to the number of shares now in issue - approx. 2.5 billion.
Hope I've got my maths right here, but taking that figure and the target market cap of £220 million he would currently be able to buy at 8.8 pence, giving him another 59 millon shares approx. bringing his total to 179 million.

There's is nothing to suggest this partnership won't flourish.

The funny thing is that most of us expect this company to succeed. We just come from different angles a lot of the time.

It might pay to take care.
A new player (Affirm) would suggest the barriers to entry for this type of business are not great. So competition might mount up.
In fact there was a piece about the banks doing this in the form of an interest-free credit card. They could set it up in five minutes, if they thought it was worth doing.

I'm trawling back through RNSs from about two years ago, although TBH it may have been something AM brought up in an interview.
The idea was to take (very) old footage - so not filmed by Melody - of concerts and develop them by giving it their own VR treatment.
Like any other tech, I haven't got a clue how it would work, but as I say it is something AM mentioned about two years ago.
Heavyweights such as Beatles, Rolling Stones, Abba, Queen all come to mind. i.e. no shortage of A-listers !

The same goes for me and all the other LTHs I think BadBat.

No I can't see any Napster revenue being split, although Melody will obviously know those figures.

Revenue from our two A-listers, LG and The Kaisers should appear in this year's results, but according to their RNS of 11 December full-year 2020 isn't due until June 2021. The interesting bit IMO is the 6 months to endJune this year, due 30 September.

Like you, I want to see some Broadway, but they have said not before 30 May. Let's hope the Moderna vaccine over in US does a job on Covid.

With all the excitement of watching the share price perform I couldn't sleep. LOL. A sea of red and blue says it is still a traders' playground, no different to pre-suspension.

Napster's H1 figures will be vitally important, because nothing is going to happen with gigs and musicals during the next six months. The SP will be dictated by Napster's revenue, rather then the shares being casino gambling chips.

Interesting posts Mel. The business is there. Melody/Napster have to go and grab their share of it.

Given the choices as you've stated them Moon. a 'relatively substantial one' might be nice. In the form of a nicely discounted rights issue to ALL the shareholders - that includes us. As a thank you from AM for supporting him all this way.

The next six months are all about Napster as far as Melody is concerned. Their H1 figures will need to be good as not much is going to happen re JG musicals nor live gigs yet awhile.. The SP might spike up a bit with a positive RNS such as Singtel, but will only drop back again. This always happens.

True, we are often talking about take outs on this BB, but it may have to come to this if it means getting Melody (and now Napster) known. PR has been so underwhelming you almost wonder if this has been on purpose.

Has Nikki Lambert still retained a friendship with Spotify? Certainly they did have an interest with VR gigs at one time re their involvement with VRtify, but seemed to go cold on the idea. Melody are a cut above that and if they considered a rejuvenated Napster to be a threat to their market share, Melody's hybrid model might make a lot of appeal.

A bit difficult when they can't put Broadway on. A troupe of actors, dancers, and musicians is unlikely to total less that 20, so social distancing forbids.

London, have you done any research on Melody and theatre?

For a start they went into partnership with JGO in June 2019. JG has $9 million of outstanding warrants and currently holds 4.9 per cent of the company - it will be considerably larger if he exercises those warrants.

If you look at LordFont's post of 19 December at 18.04 you will see that Lauren Reid the COO of JGO has been appointed as chair of the Broadway League, this being the Trade Association of the Broadway Industry - something that is hardly likely to do Melody any harm ! The link also states at the top of the page that Broadway will not restart until end May 2021. (That might be optimistic, depending on how New York is).

Melody did at least get one show in the can in beta mode before March last year, but through no fault of their own they have not been able to move forward. It is certainly not through any lack of motivation on their part.
