IMO this is an opportunity for Melody to get some PR/IR into gear.
Something along the lines - 'That (Driift) was how not to do it. We were first movers in this business. We've tested our systems. They work, and we have our portfolio to prove it.'

The troll Londondan isn't averaging down at all. He told us recently he was waiting for 3p (or something similar) so he could sell up. So if you don't know what to believe, it's best to believe none of it.

CLN has played havoc with the SP. But yes, I have averaged down.
I don't mind N & G filling their boots, if in the end this multi-bags. But at the moment it's at our expense.
It's a case of wait and see. It remains to be seen for how long.

I've looked for some sort of track record on them but can't find any. Is this a NextVR style 'rescue' job by Spotify?

What seems clear is that nine months after Melody/Napster was announced Spotify have come up with a pale imitation.
They will have a good idea how the app is developing (likely more than us), and the competition has spooked them.
They are also making contacts into Asia - after Melody. But we have Singtel !

Certainly Sony and Warner might be possible suitors, with what they bring to the table respectively.
But we have a whole myriad of investors/partnerships in place that almost anything is possible.

We have often talked about a take out amongst ourselves, but this is the first time the company has mentioned it.
So this has to be what Emmy Lovell and Equitory have been brought in to do. Ultimately.

TBH, I'd sooner it wasn't yet.
Let the company get some meaningful revenue in, start making a profit, and get a rating.
Get this right and there will be a bidding war.

I also think there will be more content stuffed into the forthcoming app than we think.
Melody/Napster are playing their cards close to their chest.
