blimey Sid, you're on a bit of a roll here but fwiw nobody has 'called me in' as you put it. i think it's just that, in all your umbleness, maybe you imagine there is some conspiracy of support for San Leon. actually ( prosaically simple this) we're just shareholders who hold, speaking for myself at least, because we see value here and certainly at these levels. but you were very wrong about Avobone and i can see how peeved you were that Tosca saved the day, as they were always going to. if I had opinions like yours, i would be umble about them, ever so. and believe me, there's nothing nice about seeing me on this board

oh boy Black Swan, am I glad you are not helming San Leon. we have a near 10% interest in a world class cheap opex producing oil field selling at just shy of $80 a barrel and you think we should sit on our hands? Also not quite sure what your issue is with our current financial status? maybe you're reading too many of Sid's '90% correct' predictions eg about how our quarterly payments won't be made and how Avobone will bust us? Unfortunate that the 10% he gets wrong, he gets badly wrong and they seem to be the ones that matter. Btw you don't appear to have a clue how the DSRA works and no doubt you're all praying that your latest prediction that Sun Trust will do for us comes good for you - good luck with that.

ouch! bluerill you seem to have annoyed the ants nest here, as they now swarm spitting their formic bile but no change there. trouble is refining what little knowledge and insight they may or may not have from that bile. their style tends to suggest it's bile driven so even before one bothers to start refining, that is inherently off putting. certainly Callasjunkie's little knowledge of legal stuff, recently embarrassingly displayed by his confusion of the simple terms 'Assignor' and 'Assignee' in relation to the DPR letter re Sun Trust, had us in convulsions on the iii board. one can only hope that his little knowledge of financial matters is better grounded but somehow I doubt that.

DC50 - thanks, I didn't make the AGM this year. My holding is now small having decided thank God to get out a while ago. I posted before then in detail on iii about the inadequate reporting concerning the Foo royalty. I believe the BoD should have disclosed their appointment of PWC to conduct an investigation and its results. Furthermore I believe they should have responded to adverse the press report in a Douala journal. My point was specific about that and isn't answered so I assume they all breathed a sigh of relief. In my experience they were adept at managing information about the company and that is ultimately why I sold.

...seemingly shareholders gave the BoD an easy ride on this? one might think that you would like to know why the company didn't release any info about PWC's independent investigation into its accounting in Douala or about the press stories?

...was hoping the board would at least comment on this, - maybe I have missed. not at the meeting for the first time in years but assume the board were at least asked?

...the respected independent newspaper that essentially reiterated this story in French is Le Messager. how the company can allow this story published in its own backyard to pass uncommented is quite beyond me. If, as someone has suggested on this board, he has it on good authority this story is fake news, can we not hear that authority and see full details of the PWC report? I hope those attending the AGM to demand a proper explanation.

...the questions that need to be posed initially are 1) why no rns from the company commenting on this article which has appeared in a respected newspaper ( and I understand similar in an equally respected Douala paper)? and 2) why were shareholders not informed about the PWC investigation into GDC accounting?
The Nomad needs to answer these points as well. Of course the next questions are what were PWC's conclusions and why was their report never published to shareholders?
