couldn't agree more with you, Tim B. i personally found the update highly encouraging. yesterday's absurd SP reaction reflects what a broken place AIM is these days, particularly in the hydrocarbons sector. however i don't believe that will last long, purely since the extent of our undervaluation gets more extreme by the day now.

yep it's charttrader OK! well spotted mclean. for those not aquainted to this hate poster, charttrader is the most obnoxious san leon troll on various bulletin boards over time and i am reliably informed that he is known to the company as such. i believe he is banned on our board for defamatory posting, hence his use of a number of aliases. there is clearly something wrong with the guy as he has literally posted thousands of posts over time in his various guises, essentially living his miserable life on the boards that run san leon.

interesting piece of research, thanks mclean. sure makes a refreshing change to the levels of noise interference this board is subjected to. living in the past is an easier environment for the trolls to inhabit or so they think. the problem they have though is the future. people buy aim stocks for their futures not their pasts. the past is relevant though, particularly where you can see heavily discounted prices as is most certainly the case with San Leon.

whatever the interims may contain (and none of us knows that yet no matter what you maliciously insinuate, Afa), sorry to have to correct you yet again, but ISS were commenting purely but poorly on last June's full Report from San Leon. i note as usual you fail to address any of the detail of my post, choosing again to attempt a futile insult. no matter, i get why as you tend not to deal in factual detail, preferring instead to rely on your ignorant feral troll instincts to insinuate on the basis of the ill-researched snippets you pick up in whichever press you happen to be reading at any one time. you are a complete waste of space on this board. sorry if that hurts your precious feelings but if you disagree, please do engage on the factual detail and then we might actually have what might be called a discussion.

as usual , Afa, your general inclination to dissembling means you can’t help misrepresenting what i said below (and btw i didn’t namecall anyone). specifically i made no comment on either the Times or ISS as organisations. the Times may be pretty boring these days but it is clearly not gutter press and nor did i suggest that – you did. my contention is with the ISS piece itself and that it is clearly poorly researched and probably by some junior analyst there. the main point being that there is absolutely no news here. other than that ISS have suddenly woken up and hastily read the last Report & Accounts published in June, clearly without reading any of the notes. the result is a mish mash of some very detached and misleading comments, most of which demand the response so what? they clearly don’t like san leon - they are entitled to their view. if i was an institutional investor reading their research though, i would feel entitled to expect something a whole lot better than this. i could provide a number of examples but, since you all get so worked up about OF’s remuneration, let me just observe on ISS' comments there. it is simply misleading to state without further qualification (we haven’t seen all their report, so it may be that the Times has just precised the point for their own ends) that OF’s salary has doubled. it is already well known that he had been taking 80% of his pay in shares and that this changed in 2018. his total pay (excluding bonus) was effectively the same in 2018, with the cash element doubling and the equity element correspondingly reducing. this is not news nor is it meaningfully correct. their views, again to which i suppose they’re entitled, about the independence of non-exec directors are made without reference to the QCA statements provided by the company in the notes which, if you could be bothered to read them, give an entirely reasonable exposition on the independence of said directors. frankly ISS' views on this are just laughable and one is indeed left asking ‘so what?’. i could go on but it’s boring ( for me at least). that this report, seemingly prepared at the last hour by ISS, concludes with an utterly meaningless recommendation to their client institutions to not vote in favour of the financial statements says everything you need to know about it. it is about as much use, as suggesting insto executives start using chocolate fireguards at home. the resolutions will all be passed at the AGM, as we know they will. so some institution with an axe to grind has leaked the report to the Times. if i had been sent this report as an insto investor, i would be pretty bloody annoyed. no rns from the company? - well there's nothing to say and clearly no requirement from the nomad to do so anyway. a puff of hot air in a teacup? - of course it is.

...or more correctly no problem at all for San Leon, as this poorly researched piece discloses absolutely nothing new and is inaccurate/ deliberately misleading in a number of material respects. they have either not read the last Report in any detail or have chosen deliberately to ignore the detail. it is also clearly biased. the simple fact is that shareholders will ignore the 'recommendations' it contains for voting at the AGM this week. (if anyone thinks that shareholders will accept these recommendations , i should be delighted to hear their reasons). furthermore we have no rns from the company so pretty safe to assume the nomad does not consider any comment necessary. all in all this is another massive puff of hot air in a teacup.

this chain of posts is aptly entitled 'Up the Creek', since that's where the trolls most certainly now are and - as Barry Mckenzie would have said - in a barbwire canoe without a paddle. still waiting for their explanation how come Avobone, Sun Trust and licence renewal failed to bring the company down, as they all predicted. never get an answer on this and not holding my breath.

one of the major problems of the NCTL is that it is largely laid through mangrove swamp, where visibility can be down to 20m with no or only limited built in security systems, making theft relatively easy. it should be possible for Eroton to lay the new pipeline down open waterways and then out to sea, which are not only more visible but are regularly patrolled by high speed craft. also OML18 is inherently more secure as it is on edge of the delta. furthermore as i have commented before, because the incidence of oil theft is a global issue, modern pipeline systems come with hi tech inbuilt monitoring capability and alarms. i understand this is done with fibre optic cabling. unlikely in my opinion that Eroton and its partners would not be availing themselves of such technology.
