Noggers,
I do the same as you when buying and selling, it gives a bit of discipline to what could be a haphazard process. If buying or selling live you just get 15 seconds to do the deal or not. Limit orders are much friendlier and can be cancelled if you think things are going the wrong way or something more interesting appears.

My trading platform allows you to set a range for a stop loss. You just set a trigger price and a minimum price you will accept.
For example you could set the trigger at 180 and the minimum at 170. The stop loss will only operate within that range which allows a bounce back on a bad news day that you mention.
I think this is a common feature, AJ Bell and HL both do it.
Good luck all, I’m holding not selling
I asked chat gpt how I should respond
Here’s what it said (talk about sitting on the fence)
Persuading someone to keep the faith when they are not happy can be challenging, but here are some steps you can take:
Listen: Start by listening to their concerns and feelings. Let them express themselves without interruption.
Empathize: Show understanding and empathy for their feelings. Acknowledge their unhappiness and validate their emotions.
Provide Perspective: Gently offer a different perspective on the situation. Sometimes, people focus on the negatives and might not see the bigger picture.
Offer Support: Let them know that you're there to support them, whether it's through difficult times or to help find solutions.
Highlight Past Successes: Remind them of past successes and moments of overcoming challenges. This can boost their confidence.
Set Realistic Expectations: Help them set realistic and achievable goals. Unrealistic expectations can lead to dissatisfaction.
Encourage Patience: Explain that some situations take time to improve, and patience is essential. Progress may not happen overnight.
Problem-Solving: If appropriate, work together to find practical solutions to the issues causing their unhappiness.
Maintain Hope: Encourage them to keep hope alive and consider positive outcomes in the future.
Be Patient: Remember that changing someone's perspective and mood may take time. Don't push too hard, but be a consistent source of support.
Ultimately, it's important to respect their feelings and choices while offering your support and guidance.
I have topped up over the last week to the tune of a further 10,000 shares, making my total 23,000 shares. I have an exit strategy that doesn't include an option for selling at a loss. No predictions from me today, I always get them wrong. I'm confident CWR will come good.

In my opinion Henry there are active short positions on this share of at least 1.5% of the total. They are taking advantage of the volatility caused by recent moves from AIM to FTSE250 as well as the ongoing "when will it be signed" scenario.
Sub 300 would be nice (for people opening a position), it's happened a few times recently due to the shorters and general lack of confidence when the SP yoyo's by 7% or more.
If Ceres reaches anywhere near the broker target next year, then you might kick yourself you didn't buy a few at 315, spread it out over today & tomorrow. Or you could gamble on Thursdays results not finding favour with investors.
I hold 14,000 CERES shares, I'm showing a paper loss, but I'm not selling because I'm convinced there is a good profit to be made within a 5 year window, at least triple todays price.

FTSE 250 tracker fund purchase? Hope it’s the first of many, time to burn the shorters and give all of the longer term holders a reward.
GLAH
This is not a drill?
Topped up at 3.18 yesterday. It could probably drop below £3 as I predicted previously after the disappointing joint venture RNS. Shorters are still shorting trying to break fragile confidence.
GLAH
Ooh! Sold at 28p bought today at 1.9p …. Gosh is that a 10 bag + ?
Don’t understand this investment stuff…..
Bearded dragon…. Pleased to be proven wrong 😎 but there are still short positions active as I have mentioned before, a day like this is Manna from Heaven to the shorters.
I’m holding long term awaiting the inevitable good RNS day/s that are to come.

Back down to £3 and below today.
My exit plan is to do so at a point that I have made a nice profit. I was hoping that would have happened already :-)
I'm at break even, but that's no fun, looking for an SP of at least £7 before I'm tempted to top slice, then hold until dividends.
5 year window at least
Be careful of false dawns........ There are still short positions on this stock....... The dark side of the market is strong here..... You have been warned....... "Breathes heavily".... GLAH
Hi Slipanchor,
I saw that report this morning, there have been similar trials that have struggled to get going. I think the problem is that people just don't want the upheaval of having their boiler changed, even though you would think that's a good thing if offered at no cost. I haven't done much research, but I think you can now buy a gas boiler that is "Hydrogen Ready", so you can switch it to burn hydrogen if your locality changes to it and burn natural gas in the meantime. The cost of hydrogen boilers is similar to standard gas boilers. Heat pumps are a whole different subject, the upfront costs appear to be very high especially if you are converting an existing property. I think a bit more marketing and education is needed to persuade average home owners that hydrogen is a good thing, maybe a few more incentives to early adopters.
Nice little bit of volitivity spike.... selling price = £3.46, buying price = £3.13 at the time of writing
trying not to get too excited.
And the price settles to £3.30, very nice to see some positivity

Sorry, posted that in the wrong topic, meant to reply to something amiss, hope it’s not too irrelevant
I will be very honest and state that I was hoping for a quick gain from my investment in CWR that I have held for 4 months now. All of the signs and noises were pointing towards this happening at least two months ago. Am I disappointed? Yes of course I am, but I have now allocated my CWR investment to my longer term portfolio as there are good reasons for holding over a 5 year window.
The broker forecast is £11, but I don’t see that happening any time soon. Savvy has been very quiet, but I’m sure he is calmly waiting for this to come good in his investment window which I believe is at least 5 years.
I have an average cost of £3.85 holding 14,000 or so shares, so not huge, but a fair chunk nonetheless and a paper loss that is painful to read, although probably better than many longer term holders. I have 200 Tesla shares that I bought for $200 thinking they were a bargain, then watched them go down to nearly $100, but 6 months later they are up to $278, the point being that things normally change over time for the better so long as the investment is sound.

Ah that's good, thanks for the info
Maybe they are closing rather than closed. Didn’t look to be a big enough purchase, just a hedge fund hedging.
SP up a little this morning but no big moves going on. Need a few big buys to flush them out fully.

I wonder how long Qube will hold their nerve? This share goes onto the main market next week, bound to attract some commercial interest.
Looking forward to the upswing.
