26, I'm calling using error, even if a test was hypothetically 50% accurate, it's hugely statistically unlikely to get 26 false readings without some sort of user issue

I will put my faith in the tax partners at their accountants rather than someone who in their first line of an argument gets the due date of annual corporation tax completely wrong, I'm assuming that if you don't know the basics then tax legislation is not your specialty.

Firstly CT is never due 12 months after the end of an accounting period. The CT return usually is. CT on smaller companies is due 9 months and 1 day after the accounting period.

That said larger more complex companies will potentially be in a quarterly tax regime and will pay quarterly installments. Those is usual and standard.

They are making the 10m payment because they are required to by tax legislation.

They pay a tax bill each quarter
